A restaurant designed in the vinteage style of 70's the menu is so classical malabari items like beef varattiyathu,beef elayil pollichath, nice pathiri, thattu dosa etc. The place is economical that two person can fill their tummies with an average of 300 rs.

Nice restaurant in calicut where you find the combination vintage and good food.

The restaurant has a warm welcoming ambience and the service of staffs complimented the warmth.. The food was good, the dishes we ordered were on the spicier side, so kids had trouble eating it.. But if you are a kanthari lover, go for it, Its worth it!

Really good restaurant. Actually visited there since Rahmath hotel was closed due to Ramadan, but the food was really awesome. The price of food is really cheap when we look at the quality of the food and the hotel. The price came around only 500 for 6 people, and we all had more than enough to eat. The beef items there are really good, and also puttu and poratta. Overall, a really nice restaurant.

Simple place...simplest authentic Kerala food....exotic flavours ! Heard a lot about this place before I checked it out but for a change all that I heard was true !
Tender beef in different flavours ....fry ....ularthu.....with porotta.....and chai.....what more wud a true blue malabari want ?
Flavours ooze in ur mouth with every single piece !
Next time I wud like to try some other items for sure ! Rock on guys !

If you ask me, 70s restaurant is the best place for food or tea or to catch up with some nostalgia. And I prefer the shawarma there, I don't know any other place where you can get such tasty shawarma for a small price. And the staff there are the most friendly I've seen. And if you are looking for takeaway food, there is the 70s restaurant special porotta roll which comes in a box. And at last the most important item beef, they have so many varieties of beef. So be sure to try this restaurant.

Nostalgic place , variety food items , affordable prices

The food here is phenomenal! And the attention to detail they kept to replicate the 70s makes it stand alone from other restaurants. Service is on point. Price is on point. All in all a great place to check in.

Sad that I couldn't taste their signature beef fry, but the meen mutta and koondhal roast more than made up for it. Will come back for their signature dish some other time, but till then will savour this taste.
... and the chukku kaava makes it a perfect end.

One of the yummiest food serving place in town ....... Best typical Calicut food..... served hot ..... that too on an economical price tag..... beef pollichad n Kerala porotta are one should not miss out from this place.... they serve refreshing cutting chai..... I bet you would order the second .....70s hope you'll keep the consistency forever..... I strongly recommend anyone who visit calicut should visit this place... worth it
