One of the best colleges in Odisha for technical education......though basic facilities are not provided properly.
As per me computer science is the best branch when you consider faculties, facilities(labs) and placements. Other branches are also good.

I am a student of GCEK and honestly this is the awesome one. The view from window of each room looks like cinematic. Overall everything is good.. the foods in hostel, the teaching process everything is awesome

The development graph has been linearly increasing considering the fact that the college is just about eight years old, this comes as a combined effort made by the students and the government to bring in more faculties, develop and make optimum use of the infrastructure.
I would vouch for the dedication of the faculties which makes for a good learning experience . The various parameters of foundation being ready it's time for the college to gear up it's placement activities and erase it's only blemish thereby moving up to a higher pedestal.

he Government College of Engineering, Kalahandi (GCEK), (Odia: ସରକାରୀ ଯାନ୍ତ୍ରିକ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ, କଳାହାଣ୍ଡି) is a public engineering autonomous college under the state government of Odisha at Bhawanipatna in the Kalahandi district. The college was established in the year 2009 as a constituent college of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) to offer undergraduate B.Tech degree program. Later in the year 2015, the college started offering two postgraduate M.Tech degree programs. It is now an autonomous college from 21 January 2021 along with PMEC, Bramhapur and GCE, Keonjhar.

GCEK - Government College of Engineering, Kalahandi is situated 10 KMs south of Bhawanipatna towards Junagarh. This is a premier engineering college where students from all over Odisha are studying. Though it is comparatively new government college, it is slowly but surely gaining popularity as many students passed out from here have proved their mettle in building a career in India and internationally too.

It's a good engineering college established by the government of Odisha. Here students reside in the hostel inside the college and is a good technical institution.

Good college with hardworking enthusiastic faculties. Good lab, library and hostel. Though it needs improvement in infrastructure and placement department.
