I visited the temple with my family this morning around 9 am. The temple on the hill has separate paths for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, making it convenient to reach. The parking facilities are ample, and we had no trouble finding a spot. The temple had a minimal crowd, allowing us to peacefully pray to all the gods. We opted for the special dharisanam, purchasing tickets at a reasonable cost of 25 per person. It's a great place to visit with family, and we felt a positive vibe. Just a heads up, there are monkeys around, so be cautious.

👌😎This is by far the coolest temple I've ever gone to. The temple is located in a hill. Went to this place with my relative using a car and it was just 2 km (the road to reach the top).

Once we went to the top, I saw that the temple was filled with 𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗞𝗘𝗬𝗦. Roaming here and there, they were everywhere! Even when we were doing an archanai, the monkeys were looking for food!

Outside the temple, there were 2 gift shops where we could buy things ranging from keychains to pillows. Overall, it was an amazing journey and definetely worth the hours I spent in the car!😄🐒

A divine place with a beautiful view from the hilltop. The road leading to the temple from the foothill is a little steep. Please drive carefully and cautiously as it's the same road for the vehicles coming down too. There is a bus service to take you to the temple too . Please inquire about the timings. You can get a special darshan ticket to have a closer look at the deity. 🙏🏻

Lord shiva as Arthanaareeswarar in temple is a sight to behold. Temple is open upto 2pm but try to go before 12 as queue might slow down after 12pm due to Pooja rituals at 1pm.
We took a special ticket to watch the deity from a nearby distance. This temple is special for newly married couples and they are allowed to exchange garlands infront of the deity outside of the sanctum.
The temple and its architecture details were so good and there will be two things to disturb you - one is monkey and the other is management staffs inside the temple. Staffs are always shouting and there is no peace observed while praying eventhough if you have a special entrance ticket. Priority is always given for VIPs and the people they know and the people who work there.

Apart from these its a must visit temple 👍🏻
There are buses plying to the hill temple near the temples’s car shed and you could also drive by your own vehicle with an entry fee of 20.
Alternatively you could climb using the steps but make sure to start earlier to avoid harsh sun. Carry water bottles with you and beware of monkeys.

Visiting the temple dedicated to Lord arthanareeshwara was an awe-inspiring experience that gave me goosebumps. The serene atmosphere and the divine presence of the deity created an overwhelming sense of peace and spirituality. The intricate sculptures and the soothing chants added to the overall ambiance, making it a truly unforgettable visit. I highly recommend this temple to anyone seeking a profound connection with Lord.

About the temple, Sri Arthanāreeswarā temple, also known as Thirukodimāda Chenkundrūr, is an ancient Hindu temple, located in Tiruchengode, in the southern Indian state of tamil nadu. The temple is dedicated to Arthanadheeshwarar, a form of the Hindu deity shiva combined with his consort parvati. Also called as Madhorubagan and Ammaiyappan (mother-father). The famous Chenkottu Velavar Temple, dedicated to Lord murugan, is also situated on the same hill. Also, it is one of the shrines of the 275 paadal pettra sthalam praised in the Thevaram hymns of the Saivite saints. The sacred hill is about 650 ft. high, and a climb of 1156 steps leads worshippers to the temple at its peak. The hill is called 'Nagagiri' in the Thevaram hymns and is also known by many other names like Chemmalai, Panimalai, Nandimalai, Uragaverpu. The hill contains about 350 acres of land, which lies 2000 ft about sea level. Highly recommended to visit in the early morning.

Nice place. The temple is spacious and a good place to visit with family.
The place around the temple is also nice. Since it's a hill place , it's good for a small bike ride. Morning time is a beautiful view here. Buses are also available from the foot of the hill to the temple. Morning time before 8 is recommended since at the time there is no crowd and we can dharsan without too much waiting time.🙏

Ancient temple with main deity Arthanareeswarar. Spring water below the deity foot is sacred and said to be equivalent to ganga water. A place full of energy. Located above a rocky hill and beautiful place to visit. Have road access for car. Good scenery. Good dining hotels not available above hill. Better have food at the plain. Lot of monkeys present, be careful with your belongings.

Peaceful and serene vibes in the temple.
Ancient temple with good maintainence
Ample parking area on the hillock (they charge nominal fee at the foot-hill arch)
The road leading to temple is also very well maintained with picturesque landscape of the town beneath.
Marvelous stone carvings, with mesmerizing detailing to each & every aspect of the sculptures. If you want to notice and capture the splendid stone-art work, half or even 1 day wouldn't be enough. So much intricate detailing is depicted in many many sculptures.
Lord Murugar (sengotuvelavar) and Main deity Arthanareeshwarar make one spell-bound with the Aura.
If passing via Namakal, take a short trip of about 40 minutes drive to visit this amazing Ancient marvel. BLESSED 🙏

A bit of internet issues inside the main gopuram, but at times few network signals do give some access, so UPI or digital payments is possible outside the main temple only, at the place for keep-sake shopping.
Even an eatery operates here, limited menu.
Can try or carry food from highway restaurants (but keep them safely, as too many monkeys around, as per temple office regulations feeding them isn't/shouldn't be done)
Still, worth every minute of your visit 🙂
