Sri Ananta Padmanabha Swamy Temple

One of its kind temples. The laying posture of Lord vishnuji is seen here. It's on top of a hill with 1000+ steps. River Gostani on its foot hill moves to get mixed in the sea nearby.
The view from top is picturesque as clouds hitting the nearby hills.
Any traveller will get a thrilling experience while going up the hill.
A must see place for all tourists.

Sri Ananta padmanabha swamy temple.. it's completely a different experience to visit this temple..as we have to climb 1276 steps to reach the temple..as the temple is on the hilltop. We have to climb the steps in criss-cross manner..we can easily climb..if we plan this trip with friends it will ge quite good..The stairs are surrounded by green trees.. after climbing the steps..the view from the top is to die for..such a fantastic view we can see the complete city,hills everything from the top..it is a very old temple. There is another temple on the ground level too but some development works are going on.. A must visit temple..this temple is not crowded as many people don't visit because of the steps..there is a road way too..but the road is not good..for bikers the road is ok..but for cars ,don't go..as there are 9 hairpin bends to reach the hilltop..but it's dangerous as the road is not good..
WATER bottle is compulsory ..please carry some water and eatables too..
There are two square shaped caves(swaranga margam,no one knows where they lead) where we find verg big bats..with lots of smell.
The people visit this temple during Kartika Masam.. more than 5 lakh people visit during Kartika amavasya and lit diyas.
There is also sivalayam on the entrance road of the hill.
How to reach: from Visakhapatnam the road is very good..we can go from adaviram to sontyam road, sontyam road to Gidijala the road is good..but the last 5 km the road work is going on,so the road is not good but manageable.
The temple needs lot of development..
(P.S: guys please don't write your names on the temple walls..it's a sacred temple,don't make it a lovers point..)

It’s a historical place. Located near foothill of a hillock near a sleepy village at Padmanabham. Folk lore says Pandava’s after completion of Aranyavas before starting Agnathavas have stayed here and have performed Pooja. Recently a goshala has also been started. It has a long history too. Simple but nice architecture. From here the steps to padmanabha swamy temple starts.

Good place , but there is no proper road and the preist and devotees who go upto the hill is very risky . Until and unless you have 4X4 vehicle .
Temple is good and very old temple don’t expect to much of fancy stuff

Good and peaceful ancient temple ,the temple is located in uphill so you must climb 1200 steps so you must take waterbottle and snacks otherwise temple is so peacefull and nice greenary and after reaching the temple you see beautiful hills and piles and powerful god ,. Buses are available to this palce from simhachalam to Vijayanagaram after reaching this you climb steps to reaching temple
