पीपलकोटी चमोली,
कर्णप्रयाग- बद्रीनाथ मार्ग पर चमोली से 17 km .अलकनंदा नदी के किनारे बसा पीपल कोटि,
पर एक बहुत मशहूर कुमाउनी लोक गीत भी है,

We reached Pipalkoti from Deoprayag crossing Srinagar, Rudraprayag Nandaprayag and Chamoli. We left Deoprayag at about 2.00 p.m.on May 20th 1991 and our buses stopped at a mango orchard on the way after an hour's drive. We were served lemon rice, curd rice and vadams and we enjoyed the picnic in the lap of nature before procceeding further. Our bus next stopped at Srinagar where we had tea and snacks(mixture and ladoo) provided by the organisers. It was night when we reached Pipalkot and there was no electricity . The organisers provided us hot pongal(kichdi) and mixed vegetable masiyal for dinner and we slept at the rest house. We were to leave Pipalkoti at 4.00 A.M. for Badrinath. We were thankful for getting a spot to rest and have a hot dinner and prayed to Badri Narayana for a good darsan.
