These people come to visit from other cities, states and countries, this is an exciting feature of Porbandar. It is a place where stars are visible during the day, people who are very interested to see, here the inside is darkened and the stars are shown during the day with the technique.

Best temple for kids one of the oldest planetarium.

Small one. But good for students.

Amazing experience. They have a planetary show. Please don't go alone.. go with a group. Because they only start the show if they have atleast 15-20 people. Try taking cab,auto to this place. Better to book a personal one.

But this place don't deserve to be named "Tara mandir" and instead it should be just "planetarium" as people ignore this place by name mandir and mostly people ignore this beautiful place by just hearing "Taara mandir".

Morning- 8AM TO 12PM.
AFTERNOON- 2PM TO 6PM.

Excellent place to see a projector show of our solar system. And the narration for the show was also superb.

Jawahar lal Nehru Planetarium was the first Planetarium in Gujrat. Here you can know about our solar system.

It's one of the best places to visit in Porbandar district. You can watch the show there between 8.30 to 12.00 and then from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm. And a minimum ofn15 members compulsory. Otherwise we have to wait for others to come or pay for 15 members. No eatables are available there. But the show is very good. Mainly for the children. It's explanation is in Hindi.

It's amazing for family trip and specially for kids. It's full of knowledge and beautiful scenery.

It is awesome place. You can enjoy much. Atmosphere and whether is much good. You can go with the children as it is very important for children who are studying....

The Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is very beautiful place. It is near Arya Kanya Gurukul. Its build by Rajratna Seth Shree Nanji Kalidas Mehta. In this Planetarium shows the stars and all other details about astrology.

Good experience...one if the historical planetarium of India.. well managed and well explained show
