What a beautiful place it is. I went there in the first week of March 24. The museum is going to be an amazingly great experience for visitors. I loved roaming around in the campus. For mountaineering enthusiast it's a beautiful place to apply and do courses.

One of the finest mountaineering Institutes in India. It's Himalaya museum is worth visiting. The museum deploys most modern virtual guide technology that works on your smartphones without downloading any app. The best exhibit is the projection on Himalaya miniature exhibit with audio on phone.

Nims what a great photogenic place.
The entry was free and we took great pictures there.
This place doent need to explain much, it's a must visit place if you are visiting NIMS , we couldn't see museum because it was a public holiday , try not to on a public holiday.

Best mountaineering institute in India.
The instructors are very good, the campus is very big and there is a separate place for rock crafting and ice crafting.
There is artificial indoor climbing wall which has different types of difficulty leval.

Best mountaineering institute in India.i am from bmc mixed batch 255 2018. Waited for 3 year . If you want enjoy one month basic mountaineering course the maintain discipline and also this institute is famous for discipline. One month experience is awasom meet different people from different destination. I am from surat gujarat.

I recently joined this institution and the place is so beautiful, the premises, instructors, hostel and the food quality is something you can't find anywhere else. The best mountaineering college in the world.

Very inspiring institute. The museum is well maintained and has lots of information. In addition to expeditions, NIM regularly conducts Adventure and Mountaineering courses for children /and adults of all age.

Pioneer mountaineering institute of the country. Institute's alpine training area is fabulous. The institute offers various mountaineering courses, which is quite cost effective, compared to the exposure and facilitation one get during training.

Nehru Institute of mountaineering is one of the best mountaineering institute in India and best in Asia also. This institute is controlled by Ministry of home affairs and is a part of Indian Army. Principal of this institute is a colonel rank officer. Many mountaineers like Arunima sinha, Bachendri Pal etc. who climbed Everest further are from here. This institute is in the lap of nature at the riverbank of Bhagirathi in Uttarkashi Uttarakhand.

This was my second time when I graduated from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi. Both Basic & Advance mountaineering course went well and I learnt new skills to climb the mountains along with how plan any expedition, choose team, rationing, equipments, etc.

All Instructors are supportive and well knowledgeable specially Mohit Panwar, Anoop Panwar, Thapa sir, & Vice Principal Yogesh Dhumal sir supported all the trainees during the training.

NIM is the best for mountaineering training.

Everyone has life..but only a few live rest merely exist..if you want to live your life come here

It was a wonderful experience at Nehru Institute of mountaineering such a scenic campus, I have done my advanced mountaineering course here. Have learnt a lot of advanced mountaineering technics here. In the first week, we have revised the basic technics at thekla which we have learned in BMC. Then we have moved to an Advance base camp to learn ice crafting and snow craft technics. Our experienced instructors took us for the DKD 2 expedition in thigh-high snow.
