In a moment of nostalgia, I google searched the name of my high school, reached this web page, and in an instant some bright and happy memories illuminated the horizon of my thoughts!

Me and my friends graduated out of this school in 1993, that was three decades back, and as has happened with many others of us, life has taken me too on a journey of the world, covering continents abuzz with the sounds of the living, and crossing oceans singing an eternal song of existence! I have seen from near the frontiers..... the frontiers of science, of technology, the very cutting edge of precision, and also the human struggle to remain alive! I have seen people in dull despair, and at other times felt in ewe and gathered inspiration from the "Sol Invictus" in others. On days I have patted the back of a man going home a winner from a battle of life, on others I have held the hand of someone bidding adieu to the worldly light. I have been through the repetition of this many many times, and yet, I have fathomed the power of human spirit, the 'spring of life' returning with even more vigour each and every time! I have palpated the raw emotions of joy and happiness, sorrow and anger, in different expressions...and I have fallen in love with the poetry of life!

The world is a great stage, and we are but actors, and this school has prepared me well to play my part to perfection. विद्या विमुक्तये, knowledge is power, as the school's motto states, the education from the school is the robust foundation on which I stand, and more then anything else I have learned the highest human values of empathy, kindness and respect, a matter of my personal pride. May the flag of our 'alma mater' continue to fly, in high spirits!

I am a proud ex student of HHMI and now a proud parent whose one child has passed out from this institution and another one is in 9th standard.
I am very happy with the whole system of this school.
And now as a teacher I am working in this school for the last 21 years. During my career I have seen a lot of changes both in inner and outer circle.

The teachers are amazing, the curriculum is second to none and each child is treated with care. And School campus is Beautiful &I am blessed that I got a Beautiful chance to study in H.H.M.I❤

I am a teacher in HHMI and I really feel honoured to be a part of this institution. I have been working in HHMI since last 11years and had learnt a lot form this institution under the guidance of Principal ma'am, Ms. Arunima Bhuyan and from my colleagues too.
As a parent, I also thank all the teachers who had been trying their level best to teach through online mode (WhatsApp & Google Meet) specially to the small kids. Thank you so much to each one of you.

This is the school where I studied for 12years. The first English medium school in Jorhat and the third in Assam, established in the year 1962. Currently the school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education since 2008. The school was set up by Late Krishna Kanta Handique in memory of his wife Late Hemalata Handique. The school has a girl's hostel very near to the school.

One of the most adorable place to study .. Through the best stuff along the beautiful environment ❤.We miss our school everyday ,everyday we got a feeling like again going back to our school and continue studying there for the rest🙂 "I miss H.H.M.I".The best place to learn.We love you❤.

studied there for 3years 1966 to 69. ( 3rd to 5th std)
it was a geart school to go. Mr Goldamire(?) was the principal. His wife taught us geography. I also remember my other teachrs - Mrs Ali, Mrs Wilson, Mrs Howard.
Every saturday used to be half day school and was devoted to devoloping craft skills.
The first hour was for music. then next two hours we devoted to learn skills of our interest- music,drawing, carpentery, sports etc.
everyday began with a prayer- was it "little drops of water make mighty ocean"
we had two school bus- painted blue and white. one was a ford and the other was a bedford.

I'm proud to spend my life's beautiful 12 years in this educational institution as a student (1999-2010) and I will always cherish my time here.

Best school in Upper Assam.. All the Alumni are well placed in their respective field.. I recommend this school very strongly..
