Temple houses Lord Ayyappa. Situated in vallikunnu Panchayat. It's a not much explored pilgrim center in malabar region. The temple is under samoothiri raja devasam. Quite peaceful place. There is a kovil adjacent to temple. We can see lots of monkeys all over the temple area. There is a fresh water pond near to the kovil.

Niramaithakotta Temple is a devotional yet serene temple located on a hill. There is lower Ayappa temple and on top of the hill there is Devi temple. Either you can take the steps from the lower levels of the temple or there is an untarred road where you can directly come to the Devi temple in your vehicle. The Devi temple offers some stunning nature views as well as a calm, serene place for praying. The view from the top of this temple also includes the arbian sea and the river joining to the sea.

The temple is well maintained. The atmosphere is very peaceful and it is a great place to come to relax and pray. The main offering in the upper Devi temple is 'Muttarakkal'.
