This temple is situated in Rajasthan. It is a world famous temple I and people are visiting here every day to pray and make wishes so many people come here from different parts of India .

Deeply pious crush walking 3kms from Toran Gate to the temple barefooted for about 3-4 hours to get an auspicious sight of Shyam Baba just for a moment.

I visited the temple on 1st Jan 2024. I have never seen a throng like this before. Newspaper reports claims that more than 10 lakhs devotees came for a glimpse of Shyam Baba Idol. A number of people fainted in the crush and a dozen died. The police administration is very poor.

People come here mostly from Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana. They walk here from there homes and bring Nishan ( a wooden stick with a flag, the color of which is saffron, orange and red, pictures and mantras of Krishna and Shyam Baba are inscribed on the flag. Coconut and peacock feather are also marked on some Nishan.) It is believed that by offering this Nishan, all the wishes are fulfilled and all good things remain good in life.
Along with this people also offer Rose Petals, Peacock feather and Pedhe (sweets made from khoya).

If you want Darshan of Shyam Baba satisfactorily, Avoid visiting the temple on Weekend, Holidays and Gyaras and Baras.

Timing: Temple will remain open for 24 hours on every Gyaras (Ekadashi), Baras (Dwadashi), Saturday, Sunday and all Public Holidays. The Khatu Shyam temple remains open round the clock for darshan from the Falgun Lakhi fair of the year 2023.
Aarti Timing: Winter : Starts around : 05.30 am. Summer : Starts around : 04.30 am. It is performed when the idol of Lord Khatu Shyam Ji is being ornamented grandly and make-over is made on the idol with flowers and fruits alternatively. Winter : Starts around : 08.00 am.

History: Khatu Shyam ji is considered an incarnation of Lord Krishna. The famous temple of Khatu Shyam Baba is located in Khatu village of Sikar district of Rajasthan state. The devotees have a lot of faith in this temple.

History of Khatu Shyam Baba Temple, Barbarik temple:

During the Mahabharata, Khatu Shyam Baba embodied the form of "Barbarik", the grandson of Maharaj Bhima and Ghatovacchak. Barbarik was an extremely brave and powerful warrior since childhood. Seeing the same force skill of Barbarik, Agni Dev gave him a special bow, and Lord Shiva gave him three arrows as a boon. Due to this boon, barbarians began to be called "three arrows." After seeing the fierce battle of the Mahabharata, Barbaric expressed his desire to become a witness of war. He allowed his mother to go to war and took out all the three arrows to fight for the war.

When the barbarians were going to war then Lord Shri Krishna told them to take their exams that no one can win the battle with only three arrows. Explaining the significance of the three arrows, Barberik said that his first arrow will mark the fixed places and the second and third arrows can safely secure and destroy those places.

Because of this boon received from Barbarik, both Kauravas and Pandavas wanted to keep them in their favor. Then Lord Krishna demanded his head from the form of a Brahmin and donated it to Barbarik. Due to this strange demand, Barbaric asked them to come to him in their true form. Then Shri Krishna appeared and told Barbarik as the heroic Kshatriya and warrior of that war, he told him that the sacrifice of the most heroic and Kshatriya warrior in the battle is very important. Therefore, hearing his such promise, Barbriak cut his head and gave it to Shri Krishna as a gift. Then Lord Shri Krishna saw his wonderful gift and gave him a boon that he will be known in the entire world as the name of "Shyam" in the name of Shri Krishna.

Importance of Khatu Shyam Temple
Lord Krishna dedicated the barbaryak's head to the river Rupvati at the end of the war. Then in Kaliyug, Khatu Shyam Mandir was established in Phalgun month after the dream of the king of Khatu village and the wonders surrounding the Shyam Kund. On the 11th day of Shukla Masat, the Khatu Baba was installed in that temple. In 1720 AD, Deewan Abhayasinh rebuilt this temple and since then the glow of that temple is still alive. The recognition of Shyam Kund is in the country and abroad. It is believed that the devotees who take a shower in this pool, their every wish is fulfilled. Recognition of this temple has been the highest in Baba's many temples.

Temple opening timing- 4:30 AM to 10 PM Everday.
Baba khatu Shyam Arti timings- 6 AM in the morning and 6 PM in the evening each day.
Before Arti 20 minutes Bhog timing.
Prasad- Churma, Roses for wish, Flag, or itter for wish.

1. New Delhi to Ringas railway station.
2. Gurgaon railway station to Ringas railway station.
3. Riwari railway station to Ringas railway station.
Then take share taxi from Ringas to Khatu Shyam Mandir.

By Bus
Sarai kale khan (Delhi) to Ringas ( Rajeshtha)

Then take share taxi from Ringas to Khatu Shyam Mandir - pay Rupees 40 per head.

Dharamshala- many price range- 500 to 2000.

Waiting Line -for Darshan keep your left most which lead you Darshan near or nearest watching view or for Pooja.

Note - you can leave your language or Bags or shoes, sleeper near by shopes of parsad on condition that you will buy parsad from that shop.

Note -- not to put your any staff with riksha wala or Rahdhi wala.

Indeed it’s a beautiful place to visit and we can’t rate such religious places!
It’s so auspicious that you will feel visiting it all again.
Parking is available, autos are available, you can buy prasad from outside shops.

We visited the temple on ekadashi around 8:30 am. There are a lot of devotees but everyone was moving so you don't feel like you are stuck in crowd. The car parking was paid (100rs ) and was around 2.5 km far from the temple. We walked from there and enjoyed the local market.

Parking is around 1 km away. Better to take e rickshaw. He shall guide you to proper entrance and exit. Better ask him for return journey too.

2 kunds(ponds) are there before main mandir visit.

Quite good management. You have proper queues defined from start to end. One remains in his queue. Right side queue would lead to lifted floor view of Khatu g.
Dry fruits, rose, scents are given as prasad.

One can do window shopping. Prices are fair. Buy badi boondi laddoo too.

Management is very poor
Parking is 2km away from the temple and they will charge 100 rs. For car parking and after that there were e-rickshaw they will charge you 100 rs. To drop at the temple which is only 2 km.

Very energetic and beautiful temple in Sikar district of Rajasthan. This is one of the famous temples of Rajasthan.People from all over India come here to visit Khatu Shyam. Young people like this temple very much.
Here the youth of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan come to visit on foot. Here roses and flags are brought for offering. This temple is very miraculous, the wishes of the devotees who come here are fulfilled.

It's a place where you will find peace.. and there is a saying about this place and khatu baba like "Hare ka Sahara , Baba Khatu Shyam Hamara"

Bhima faced Hidimba. Hidimba gave birth to a son from Bhima who was called Ghatokha. Barbarik was the son of Ghatokha. Both of them were known for their bravery and powers. When there was to be a war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas, Barbarik had decided to watch the war. When Shri Krishna asked him whose side he was on in the war, he said that he would fight on the side of the losing side. In such a situation, Shri Krishna knew the outcome of the war and was afraid that it might backfire for the Pandavas. In such a situation, Lord Krishna asked for donations to stop Barbarik. He asked for a head in charity. Barbarik gave him the head as a donation, but till the end he expressed his desire to see the war with his own eyes.

Shri Krishna accepted the wish and placed his head on a hill at the battle site. After the war, Pandavas started fighting as to who gets the credit for the victory, in which Barbarik says that he got victory because of Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna was very happy with this sacrifice and got the boon of being worshiped in the name of Shyam in Kaliyuga.
