A must visit place for religious people. It's a calm, beautiful and soul touching place.
It's beauty can be only experienced without the cellphones. So please don't take youe mobile phones as it is not allowed inside the temple. You have click some pictures outside the temple main gate and garden.
Somvar Sandhya aarti is very famous but unfortunately I visited the temple on Tuesday.. so if you're planning to visit the temple try to visit it on a Monday evening.

Koteshwar Mahadev

The temple of Koteshwar Mahadev is located on the banks of Sabarmati River in the area of Koteshwar. Credit of maintaining cleanliness of premises goes to the volunteers. I went there on a rainy day and the volunteers continuously working there keeping viper and broom in hands. Mahadev followers must visit this place as the surrounding is very peaceful. You can enjoy the nature at its best sitting on the bench on riverside. The architecture of the temple is quite wonderful with the well designed and precise carvings on the walls and ceilings. The aarti at the temple is delight to join which offers you calmness and helps in seeking the blessings of the Mahadev. Inside photography is not allowed infact u would not be allowed to carry your mobile/camera inside.

Area needs to be improved for Management: Either allow belongings (purse/wallet/handbags) and mobile in the temple or provide the facility of locker to the devotees.

In Holy month of Shravaan I recently visited the Koteshwar Mahadev Temple at Motera and was amazed by its beauty. Situated near the Sabarmati River, the temple's serene ambiance provided a peaceful experience. The well-maintained surroundings added to the charm. A notable feature is that mobile phones are not allowed within the temple premises, which enhances the spiritual atmosphere. Highly recommended for a tranquil and spiritually enriching visit!

This temple is very peaceful. This place is located a little bit inside but worth the walk. The structure is very pleasant to see. Don't buy leaves and all for the Mahadev, they don't allow you inside. Photography is allowed. Mahadev here makes everything peaceful. Must visit temple of Mahadev.

Wonderful and well maintained temple. Peaceful and calm atmosphere. This scenic place on the banks of Sabarmati is a must visit. The temple premises are clean and well maintained. The grass is lush green and the trees and flowers add beauty to the landscape. A good time to visit is at around 5 pm.

Near and clean campus on the bank of river Sabarmati. Greenery is good. The only drawback is mobile and ladies purses are not allowed and we have to leave both the articles outside without security, as there are no locker facilities.

Though they dont allow to take pic, I manged to take it somehow..I visited it on the day of Mahashivratri and the temple was crowded as for every hindu and shiva followers its a great day they look up to. When I get there, i was so amazed by the fact that I've been living in this city for pas 18 years and still didn't know such a magnificent and great temple exists. It's really one of the bests.

The only thing I didn't like is they make u follow set of rules while entering in the temple. No camera, no phone etc...
