BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

A peaceful place to pray and seek blessings from Swaminarayan Mandir. The mandir premises are quite clean and properly managed by staff.

Nice temple. But not a proper system to see the god.

Extra ordinary management....There are many Volunteers to guide us where to go inside the temple...Best time to visit is Sunday with family. There is a cultural activities has been held in the hall... There is a snacks shops outside the temple where one can have different Snacks with top quality...However,..Car parking is little concern. You have to park your car inside the Hospital parking which is located opposite of temple....

Much peaceful place. I would recommend you to visit this place in the evening. I also attended the Aarti here and it was serene. Swaminarayan Temple is situated on Shahibaug road, in the heart of Ahmedabad. They do not have any entry tickets. I like the architecture of the temple as well. There is a wide seating space for devotees. It's usually crowded in the evening. If you feel hungry, then you can even visit Khaman shops which are in close proximity to the temple which serves the best Gujarati delicacies. Overall a must visit place if you're around Kalupur or Shahibaug.

I went in the morning and even during mahotasav period so it was crowded, but overall experience is good , there is so much se see and parise the greatness of Shri Swaminarayana amd even your children will not get bored because they theme park and playground for children and if have time do visit during night then you will not miss night light show which i regret for not attending.

A must visit Mandir in Ahmedabad, It's Architecture is very beautiful due to its white colour and the god's Statue are also made very beautiful.

The place was under renovation so I will certainly give a full review after next week. Will update the review.

Very nice Mandir! Satsangi's can get utara accommodation here, the rooms are super clean and modern like a hotel! Free meals are also provided to all 3 times a day, with a special seperate dining area for those staying in the utara. All the volunteers are happy to help, kind and approachable; in particular, Prafulbhai in the utara office is very helpful!

Very well maintained by BAPS. Location is very good. Easily accessible. Very calm and peaceful place. You get feeling of holy place. You really feel mental peace. Premvati is very nice for food and snacks. Staff is very polite and cooperative. One must visit this place.

Beautiful temple of Lord Swaminarayan at Shahibaug area.
Easily noticable from main road as construction is quite huge.
Visiting time morning 6 to 11 and 3 to 8

Inner atmosphere around temple is quite positive.

Devotees come and seek blessings of Lord Swaminarayan. Sunday gathering are significant and vibrant for rituals. Recommended to everyone.

Beautiful temple to visit. Enjoy the calmness, peace and vibe of the holy place. Note: Some may experience issues in finding a parking spot, but may use the Yogiji Maharaj Hospital in front to part your vehicles while visiting this temple.

This is very good place....It gives you peace and divinity as well..The structure of the temple is very historic and It was really good to watch it Continuesly..It also has the beauty at evening with lightning colors.saint's and haribakto are very communicative....and they always trying to share thoughts of the satsang and daily life fundamentals which helps you very much.You daily have to visit this place for inner Peace.

BAPS temples provide true path to all spiritual seekers. Becomes centre to pass rich heritage to our younger generations. Extends helping hand in case of any social emergency. Safe place to be for one and all.

BAPS is non-profit organization and head quarter is at Ahmedabad...this temple has wide space with all the facilities..some times crowded at sunday at time of sabha..but Sabha gives us peace and relief of daily life...visit premvati for Pure veg and hygienic food..in front of Temple there is hospital also operated by this organization...

Enjoyed Divine temple darshan and evening aarti. divine food also available of premvati.

Beautiful idols and saatvik environment inside the temple..... Chanting gods name and experiencing the divine atmosphere is worth .....

Car parking is available

If you are an baps follower of swaminarayan religion then you must visit once. Apart from mandir, there a hospital too for the community. Good place of stay and food as well if you are follower and get permission to stay.

1st Shree Swami Narayan Mandir... Awesome experience once you enter the sanctum...

Temple is closed between 12-4PM... Pls plan accordingly.

Not to be confused with the older Swaminarayan temple in the old city, this is the primary Ahmedabad temple for the newer, wealthier and more conservative BAPS branch of the Swaminarayan faith. The architecture is grand, and the ceremonial rituals are rich, beautiful and absolutely authentic. All visitors, including non Hindus, are welcome. Be prepared to remove shoes. You’ll also need long pants, skirts or saris for the ladies. Men and women are separated in certain parts of the temple grounds and during certain rituals. Women should not approach or address the saffron-wearing monks. It can become exceptionally crowded during festival days and on Sunday.
