The positive vibes this temple holds is so amazing..I went there for 9 days of navratri in the morning. Temple was crowded, you will have to wait for atleast 10-15 mins during the navratri days. One thing I have noticed here is that they gave prasad on all the nine days which they offered to ma kali as "bhog", I haven't seen this in any other temple. Getting the prasad was like getting a reward for my visit. Must visit it !

Bhadrakali temple is a small temple of devi in the old city. There are small shops selling prasad and flowers for prayer. The temple assembly area is a little small so its gets crowded easily. There are people outside who charge you for guarding your shoes, but you dont need that. Nobody steal shoes or anything.

The temple is located in a old fort building, and we found the charismatic idol of maa bhadrakali who develop the business city of gujarat, which was known as MANCHESTER of India formally.

Bhadrakali temple is believed to be one of the oldest temple of Ahmedabad and located inside Bhadra Fort in center of city.The exact date of construction is not known but as per the evidence this holy shrine existed at least for more than 800 years. This shrine is dedicated to goddess Bhadrakali and believed as Nagar Devi of Ahmedabad. It is believed that Karndev, King of Patan and founder of Karnavati on bank of River Sabarmati, had established the Bhadrakali temple.

Thus this temple is witness of Mogal rule, Maratha rule, British rule and till date stand as rajdevi of Ahmedabad. Everyday around 3 thousand devotee and tourist visit this holy shrine and many more during the festival, weekends and especially during Navratri . Temple trust manages various social and religious activities like school, medical camp, gaushala, Shree Rambali hall for marriage ceremony etc.

As per the Hindu texts, terrible demon king Mahisasur could not vanished by God or man due to power of boon. Thus only women can killed this demon, Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh bestowed supreme power to Ma Devi Parvati and transforming her in form of Bhadrkali, the goddess of warrior. Every god gave their powerfull weapon to Ma Bhadrakali. Then Ma Bhadrakali defeated demon king and restored peace for all.

In your first sight of the temple you will quickly realise that the existing temple has not sufficiently enough for the owner and the developer of this significant city of west India. Some old edge persons of the city and original citizens of the city are strongly belied that the original temple was located in the premises of existing Jama Masjid , and if you visit the said jama masjid premises you can found numbers of Hindu architectural signs and idols inside and out side of the premises. any way this is the separate subject and belief of people.Existing temple complex is located in a very busiest and crowdy area, anybody can get some special prasad on the days of both navratri, you can found world famous jagganath temple in very near by area from where the rath yatra starts.

This is the Bhadrakali Mandir: One of the shakti pith of India. The temple is situated in old city ahmedabad near bhadra fort. The people of ahmedabad call Nagardevi Bhadrakali Maa. The door of template open in early morning at around 6:00 a.m. and the morning Arti starts between 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. Out of the temple there is a old market known as Bhadra Market. The route to reach the temple have heavy traffic mostly. If someone visit in early morning or before 9:00 a.m they will not found traffic. If you Visit ahmedabad must visit Bhadrakali Mandir temple. If possible visit the temple before 8:00 a.m because the vibes are very energetic and amazing.

Temple was too much fine. Ancient temple with a history, yes there is a huge traffic before reaching there but worthit because queens can be seen after huge effort only and Bhadrakali mata is definitely the Queen of Ahmedabad. Beautiful temple. shringar done on regular days are also fine but shringar on navratri days are extraordinary ones. Here we can stand and enjoy Bhadrakali Maa darshan. Atmosphere is also settled and full of peace. Most of the time bhajans, jagran and "anand no garbo" is also held here with best Singing actors and its mandli. Having Maa's darshan is the Unexpected unexpresseable feelings and emotions attached here. Tension gets released and body gets super excited. Marvelous # words are less to express feelings. Surely Surely visit this temple once in a year if it's possible

Amazing place maa temple

Very old holy place in ahmedabad. In my childhood I used to go regularly once week. Good street market near by. Highly recommend to visit and take blessing of bhadrakali mataji.
