Beautiful Place to visit I went there for Birdphotography and sight some beautiful and rear birds in the forest area lake was frozen and gives a beautiful view……
Visited the place again now in June and it was a beautiful view … blue water and also people where fishing there with the fishing rods was a good experience and the omlat made by nearby Daba wala was a tasty one …
As in winter we went there for birding and again we have a good birding session in the area …….
Visited again on 12-3-2023 and got some beautiful shots and the view of the lake was awesome

Fish shaped lake only few kms away from Yusmarg in district Budgam of Kashmir divison.Great place for fishing and photography

Beautiful place for picnic.
The lake can be approached from Yousmarg also by undertaking a trek of 4 kms for almost one hour.
The lake is also motorable. From srinagar, you have reach Chardoora and then Nagam, where from a straight road will take you to the spot.

Serene.natural.and soothing. A 75 minute drive from srinagar city. Is best for one day outing or a weeks stay along with your own shelter as famous Yousmarg is at a 60 minute walk from here. If you love fishing then Nilnag is must visit for you.

This is one of the amazing and Fascinating place in Kashmir. Nilnag lake is surrounded by lush green pine and deodar Forests. People do here fishing also. And it is a treat to eyes and brings peace in mind.

Nilnag is a small lake near Yusmarg. People there claim that its water is blue, however it is kind of turquoise in color. The approach to the lake is either by foot (it is easy to get lost, as there are no sign-posts or directions on the trail) or on pony. Beware of the pony-wallas - in the name of the Nilnag lake ride, they will show you it from afar (some kind of a point on top of the hill from where you can't see it properly), so please clarify to them that you want to go to the actual lake, and negotiate a price.
