Dinthar Bazar

DINTHAR veng WAS not called Dinthar before.
It was called 'Keltawlh veng'.
It's called Keltawlh veng because the Local residential people were 'THE GORKHALI'
The term 'Kelhtawlh' in simple translation means slipping goat(s).
The Gurkhas residing in the place uses goats for livelihood and for foods.
It was their domestic animal consumable for both meat and milk.

Among many other localities in Aizawl, Dinthar is one of the unique local area which had its own small market. The things which were available from this market is mostly vegetables, meats, sandals, and other stuffs. Dinthar bazar is located under Dinthar YMA Hall at Dinthar Kawn which is the main area where Dinthar people usually buy their needs from it. Apart from the market, there is still a wholesale and retail store available near the market. Drug store and Hardware store is also available which makes Dinthar more comfortable and convenient to look for basic needs. Thanks for Dinthar Bazar.
