The campus is green and clean, but the maintenance level of the university is low. The faculty is too slow working and less informative. keeping these apart the campus is big and you can find several departments here for every subject. Fees for msc zoology is 1962 rs.

The university may have lost its early glory but even today the faculty of science is considered to be one of the very best faculties of this central university. The ambience is peaceful and student friendly. It showcases great architecture from the architect who built Victoria palace in Kolkata.
The faculty is open for the public after 5pm everyday when people use the ground for their athletics practice, exercise, football, etc
