A nice place to stop by for some beautiful views if you are in the vicinity. You will need to walk 5 mins or so to reach the view points. You should be able to drive until then. There is a Hanuman temple along the same road. Good place to view the sun rise and set. May not be worth a long drive though. Would recommend visiting if you live in the area or are driving by.

Very peaceful and silent place. We can see a good view of the valley from the top of the area and the valley is bordered by the Arabian Sea.

Must visit place for the best sunset view in town. Evenings are extremely beautiful. Good for evening walks so can enjoy the breeze and the sunset. You can see a thin layer of sea from the hill top that will make your evenings more peaceful .
The temple is well maintained and can enjoy calm atmosphere as well as divinity.

Small hilltop which has an excellent view of the Kanhangad & Mavungal town. On a clear sky day, even the sea will be visible. Good place to spend an hour in the evening.

Manjampothikunnu is located at Kanhangad in Kasaragod district. This scenic spot is unfamiliar to most people, ideal for people who are looking for a less-crowded destination. Manjampothikunnu in Malayalam means either "Hill covered in mist" or "Hill covered in yellow". Both meanings well suited due to the engulfing mists in the moring and by the yellow colored grass spread across the rocks of the hill.

The hill does not have thick tree coverage, the small lone trees are the only resistance against the scorching sun as the day progresses. The viewpoint on the western side gives a glimpses of Arabian Sea at a distance, and in the evening the beauty of a red sunset and the multiple hues of the sky. The blue hills in the east is a favorite spot for wedding photographers.

According to stories, this hill was formed during the time of war between Lord Rama and Ravana from the epic Ramayana. As Hanuman was passing through this place carrying the mountain which had the Mritha Sanjeevani herb, a part of the mount fell here and it alter became Manjampothikunnu. There is now a temple for Hanuman on the north of this hill -- Manjampothi Veeramaruthi Kshetram.

This hill is best suitable for star observation in the night sky. I think we can even see the milky way in the night sky. The full moon can be photographed in a pleasant atmosphere. This hill is also suitable for film shooting. In summer and winter the hill would be in dry coloured condition. During rainy season the hill would be covered in greenery. There are no enough trees in these areas. So it is better to go there in morning or evening.

Very calm and beautiful place. This is actually a Hill area with a small temple of Lord Hanuman. Hundreds of people visit this place. And has a very beautiful view of the town from the top of the hill.
Can go by walking or via car or bike. If you visit this place you can go to ANANDASHRAM too as it's very near .
Also you can see the sea from here and the sunset and sunrise here is beautiful

One of the best experiences in the district of Kasaragod. Even though the approach road is a bit damaged, the view at the end is way more than worth it. Best times would be Sunrise and Sunset.

This place reminds me of my childhood, my school days. I studied at Amrita Vidyalayam which is situated just below the hills. When i was at UKG or 1st std i don't really remember, teacher used to take us to a grassy land just below or nearby the hill and i used to look up and wonder whats up there in the top of the hill and i always dreamt of going there but the teachers never let us climb up. Trust me i always thought there is a river up there or a pond etc etc i always lived in a fantasy world 😂😂.
The first time i went up was at 9th std and with my 2friends and it was really awesome, tbh we were lost for a while. And i also figured out there was a way to my home. My friends walked with me for a while but they got bored And i started walking from my home everyday alone. The Morning walk to school... I just miss that. The Cold breeze, the Mist, the smell of wet grass, cows grazing, sound of birds..its not the same now. I remember we even used to play cricket up there 😂. For me development has ruined the place somewhat. Yes the roads are better and convenient but it was way fun before and it was not crowded at those times now its really crowded especially sundays and i dont really like crowds at this place it ruins your experience. I think development will ruin this place in future. Just my opinion.
