Beautiful place to rest and enjoy your vacation! The ocean waves are soothing, as are the views! The staff are so friendly and kind and will go out of their way to help with any need! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away and relax. Also, check out the Ayurvedic treatments! My husband and I wish we could have enjoyed more!

Outstandingly good during our second stay and exceeded our high expectations! The lush Kanan Beach Resort has friendly helpful staff, wonderful cottages, a glistening pool and a varied menu of excellent freshly prepared dishes. The high quality of the ingredients and Chef's inspired pairing of sauces and dips was really top notch. We'll be back again from the UK!

Yet another wonderful stay! This was our second visit to this beautiful resort and its wonderful and kind staff. We love the serenity this resort has to offer. Clean and spacious rooms with a sea view and a very hospitable staff what more can one want. This has become our go to place for family holidays. Each time we visit ,we wish we could stay longer. Would strongly recommend this resort to everyone who is looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate with family. I would like to particularly mention the over and above service attitude of the staff here. There were many instances of thoughtful gestures by the resort staff that made our stay here even more enjoyable.

We had the chance to meet the resort owner during our stay and it’s obvious he takes much pride in his resort and staff and why would he not , he has a happy and efficient management and service team. So thank you again Team Kanan for the memorable stay.

Stayed there for 3 nights, it is pleasent and beautiful place to stay for family. Kids are gonna love the pool.

Sea is rough at few places but there are few other stretches where one can get in and enjoy 😊

This property is an absolute must visit if you are looking for a laid back vacay. The resort is so beautifully designed, with all its interiors made of wood and so much open space covered with coconut trees in the front. Everything was top notch - cleanliness, hospitality, food etc. There were floor mats kept in the room, to sit it in the beach, which we have never seen in any other beach resorts. It was so useful, as we spent most of our time sitting under the shade of coconut trees playing board games. The food was extremely tasty with good portion size. Manu and Sakesh, who attended to us were extremely polite and friendly, went far and beyond to cater to all our needs - they even changed a day’s breakfast buffet menu since we wanted to have puttu kadala curry, and also, agreed to pack us lunch ( whatever we asked for) in the morning itself, on the day of check out. The beach is calm, with no much crowd around. Best place to relax and enjoy 😊 We are surely going back again! :) ♥

Wonderful place for a relaxed vacation!
We visited as a family with our 5 month old baby and the whole team at Kanan Beach Resort were so nice and helpful and accompanied all our requests we had because of our baby. The resort is well maintained and in a beautiful surrounding, lush green garden, palm trees, pool with a view on the lovely beach. There are several sun beds to relax. The rooms are very spacious, with an open living room concept, and a veranda to sit outside and enjoy the view. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant every day which was excellent, definitely try the pancakes for breakfast! Finally I also want to highlight the lovely staff, who were so nice with our baby and generally welcoming. We will definitely come back.

This is such a lovely resort, I won't be able to describe in words. The cottages are great, clean. Have sitting area with a nice kitchenette. Locker facility is available. The bedroom is cozy. Bathroom is big and nice with rain shower.

The restaurant have a nice sea view. Food is decent and portion size is generous.

Coming to the most important thing the people. They are kind and always ready to help.

You will feel relaxed and safe. And you will fall in love with this resort.

Got a cottage sea facing. With coconut trees around, good privacy and excellent sea breeze. As we enter we get a welcome with tender coconut. A walk through to our cottage was pleasure. So many different trees and birds. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 are facing the sea. Lunch was sumptuous, quantity was great. Excellent service and request for spice and deep frying was managed well. There is a swimming pool, it's clean and 1.2 to 1.5 meters depth. Patrons need to care for their children as there are no pool attendants. They have a spa and massage also. With just 10 cottages it's a quiet place and excellent for relaxation.

Bit expensive for a middle class family point of view. But its worth spending for your leisure time without outside disturbances and for the ambience.

Food - Breakfast is good. Other food we ordered is decent and quantity is good.
You can't take outside food to the resort.

Activities - Swimming pool is common but clean.
The management should include few more activities like badminton court, table tennis, etc should be thought about.

Beach : its very deep and waves are strong should be very careful specially if you are planning to take a swim. Quite and calm beach

Beautiful place right at the beach. Prakash and his team go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Food is very good. Pool and rooms are kept clean and tidy. Will keep visiting this place in future as well.

Food was excellent and hospitality outstanding... Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff Mr sakesh Ji and Maneger and all staff they were super good friendly,polite and the restaurant is very flexible....The best part is the beach view and swimming pool . Overall our stay was amazing and I'd highly recommend a visit if what you're looking for is a memorable trip.. Without any doubt one of the best resort in Nileshwar Kerala

Staff and food make property start ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This has been by far one of the most amazing resorts that we have stayed in recently. The cottages are fully equipped with a storage area, a drawing room, a small dining section, and an outdoor sitout facing the sea. The restaurant serves great food and the hotel staff really take a personal attention to your needs.

The resort is a few metres from the sea/beach but we spent time at the resorts pool as it was prettier and cleaner too. I suggest you carry your running shoes as well as swim gear ; go for a run early morning, witness the fishermen working together to start their day, while the sun just makes it over the coconut trees !
Spend some time in the pool , and then head over to restaurant for an amazing breakfast .

Absolutely wonderful! Neat, clean n hygienic place with very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and spacious cottages. Worth every penny! Food was delicious and tasty! Would have been better if they also had kids pool. But their pool is super clean n neatly maintained.

Absolutely loved my stay here. What a beautiful location, though I’ve left there a part of me is still wandering along the beach dere. Loved the hospitality and the food didn’t disappoint too.. loved the villa and the pool. They took care of us very well and all our requests were met and I’m sure I’ll be a regular visitor here.. till next time .. 🙏🏻

We stayed in a family cittage with sea view. The stay was excellent. Kids really enjoyed the beach and pool. The property was well maintained.
Cons: Items can be added in the breakfast menu.

1. There can be a Kids pool section with 2/3 feet depth.
2. BreakFast items can be posted somewhere in the restaurant.

I believe most of the viewers are here to see the difference between Malabar n Kanan, so let me add some points as I experienced both.

Ambience - Both are good
Rooms - Both are good
Room service/ House Keeping- Kanan is far better than Malabar. - Rooms are clean, Towels are new and good
Staff at Reception - Without any doubt Kanan 👌

Food - Complimentary BF is buffet in Malabar, but it is a kind of Ala-carte in Kanan. Quality & Taste is better in Kanan.
Pool - Pool design and safety is good in Malabar. Pool in Kanan is not safe for kids.

All other items are almost same.
