The Jama Masjid of Gaya is one of the biggest and most beautiful mosques in Bihar. It was built between 1890 and 1898 by Mir Abu Saleh. He was the Nawab of Kadah, now in the Nalanda district of Bihar.

There are 8 small and 1 large gate at its entrance. The main attraction of this mosque is its more than 25 small and big beautifully carved minarets. All the arched gates of the mosque have carvings of flowers.

One of the most old and one of the biggest Masjid of India, it was established in year 1822 by kings. Till yet it's very strong and in good condition.

This JAMA MASJID in gaya, just infront of very popular DHUKHHARNI MANDIR, and it is a great example of hindu -muslim unity in india, when i first time visit these two places in G B Road gaya, i astonished ,but all in real, i dont know from hom many years ago these masjid exists but it is here for more than 150 years or more.. Everyone should visit here, it is just 2-3 km for gaya railway station, grear place, local people here are not so educated and they are all in local shop and if any educated not more than 10nth class, means matriculation, inside masjid, there are a numbers of colourful fishes here just beside the entering gate, as a pool of water about 10-12 ft, very beautiful looks when these fishes come outside of water layer, in really i dont know how deep this pool it is but locla people say it about 10 ft average, very very big masjid in gaya, every week friday these muslim community come here for their NAmaaz and exciting environment here.
