One of the ancient Shiva Temple in the city with lots of history related to rulers of Travancore. Authorities should keep the surroundings neat and clean.

Big temple with old architecture in entrance they build new roofs. Siva is the main lord in this temple. The temple campus is so big there is some idols in the campus. In the campus lord Nagaraja statue is also there. For lord vishnu there is small temple inside the campus too.

The best old temple with all rituals and I personally love the architecture of the temple . Looks like a home with full of divine to me. The decorations of the idol was enormously beautiful. Good place to take age old members .

The Sree Mahadevar temple is situated in Kazhakkoottam, 12 km north of Thiruvananthapuram. It is an ancient temple. It is considered one of the 108 Siva temples of Kerala. It was, it is believed, established during 10th century A.D. According to records available, renovation of the temple was done in the year 1470 A.D and it implies that this temple of antiquity must be older than 1470 A.D. It is the second largest temple in Thiruvananthapuram.The Trivandrum International Airport is 15 km to the south of Kazhakkoottam. The Kazhakootam railway station (KZK) is the closest railway station. It is also well connected by roadways and one can come in from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Ernakulam.
