Karighatta Srirangapatna Sunset Point is undoubtedly one of the most enchanting spots I've had the pleasure of visiting near Mysore. Nestled just behind the Srinivasa Temple, this sunset point offers a breathtaking view that will leave you in awe. The strategic location, coupled with the serene ambiance, makes it a must-visit destination for anyone in search of natural beauty.

What sets this spot apart is its proximity to the Srinivasa Temple. The ease with which one can transition from the spiritual experience of the temple to the visual spectacle of the sunset creates a unique and harmonious blend of cultural and natural wonders. The temple, with its intricate architecture and spiritual aura, is a perfect precursor to the sublime beauty that awaits at the sunset point.

However, it's essential to plan your visit strategically, as the Srinivasa Temple operates on a specific schedule. The temple is open for the full day on Saturdays and Sundays, providing ample time for exploration and reflection. On weekdays, though, it opens only in the morning. Therefore, I highly recommend planning your trip on the weekends to ensure you can immerse yourself in the temple's spiritual vibes before capping off the day with the mesmerizing sunset.

The best part about Karighatta Srirangapatna Sunset Point is that it's freely accessible, with no entry fees or hidden costs. This accessibility adds to its charm, making it an inclusive destination for everyone seeking solace in nature's wonders. The lack of commercialization enhances the authenticity of the experience, allowing visitors to connect with the surroundings on a more personal level.

In conclusion, Karighatta Srirangapatna Sunset Point is a hidden gem near Mysore, offering a harmonious blend of cultural and natural splendor. The seamless transition from the spiritual embrace of the Srinivasa Temple to the awe-inspiring sunset creates a holistic and memorable experience. Plan your visit on a weekend to make the most of the temple's schedule, and revel in the beauty of this freely accessible, unspoiled haven. It's an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a tranquil escape and a visual feast for the senses.

If you are traveling to Mysore you will find this place after Sri Ranga patna and you have to go for 7-8 kilometres from the highway and on top of the hill you will find a Venkatramana swamy temple and view point and would recommend to visit this place during rainy season as you can find greenery every where

Around 150 kms away from Bangalore is this beautiful place. This place can be visited on the way to Gopalaswami hills or on the way to Mysore for a beautiful view and sunrise. You can just sit for hours in the early morning with the beautiful view in front of your eyes and the birds chirping.

Its a wonderful soothing place. A small trek with kids can be awesome. Pack your water and snacks. A small children park on top is nice. There is ample space for parking around the temple. Please dont litter, carry back trash or dump it in the bins.
