Small place but packs a punch with taste. Tried idly, sambar dip Vada, tomato bath and Pongal with tamilnadu style sambar and excellent chutneys. One can take a combo of any dish as in half bath,half Pongal and so on which is great when we want to try everything. Parking is a no no for 4 wheelers, 2 wheelers stand a chance. Old Bangalore vibes.

Good place for South Indian food. Loved the lemon rice. It had perfect amount of sourness from lemon and rice was properly boiled. Neither too soft nor too brittle. Idlies were soft. Both chutneys were good. Specially red chutney was yummy . Poori palya could be little better, definitely better than many restaurants who charge over 125 rupees for the same. Prices are generally 40 for most dishes. Uddina vade is ₹15 per piece. It’s a self service restaurant with no wait time. Things are served very quickly. This place is for a quick moving population. People come , eat and leave within 10 minutes. Hence no tables or fine dining available.

One of the best places for breakfast in and around Shivaji Nagar.We tried Tomato bath and no doubt ,it was so damn delicious.And the tomato chutney served along is Next Level.Over all it was an amazing experience .Would highly recommend people to check this place .Apart from tomato bath ,they also serve Pongal and vada ,which again was very nice.

Note :It is advised to go along on a 2 wheeler rather than a car due to parking problems.

I went to KV CANTEEN to try some authentic breakfast they have awesome breakfast from pongal tomato bhath with tamil style sambhar just loved their pongal it was best in combination with chutney and sambhar
Tomato bhath is little on spicier and masaledar side with lots of strong flavour of clove and cinnamon

Another hidden gem. Definitely to go place for all who crave for south indian breakfast. Budget friendly, good in quality and great quantity. The best thing is got to be pongal. The rice being fluffy and soft, and with the flavoured chutney the taste increases thousand folds.

One of the famous food joint for their Tomato rice and pongal. Visited once and I loved it after gone through one of my foodie friends review and he was right. This place is awesome veggies must visit the place at Veerapiallai street.

2nd visit
Visited again after 2 years nothing changed starting from pluffy idly, melting vadas and irrestible chutney. Pongal as always star of the breakfast.

Wherever we go in the world atlast everyone will look for tasty food, and this is one of that place, you can experience south Indian food here. Which will also comes under a budget. Here only veg food is served. You can take out or you can eat there. No one gets to know unless they won't experience the taste, try to make it once and get to know.

Most of the best breakfast one can try. Worth every penny you pay. Menu is pretty decent and prices range between 20-40per item. With 100rs, you'll surely have a sumptuous breakfast. Must try the Tomato rice, idli and dosa which is served with 2 chutneys. You would surely love to visit again.

One Ragi Mudde, Unlimited Rice, Sambar, Palya, Rasam for 50 rs . What else does a hungry man need ?

Opens around 7.30 am. Must try the tomato rice and also dosa with sambar. Budget friendly. Worth every penny.

Simple, authentic and tasty food at very affordable rate. Best part was there was no veg restaurant in that entire area which had opened at 6:45 and all were going to open mostly at 8 or after. With this simple restaurant i had one of the most satisfying breakfast after a long time.

I ordered idli sambhar and chutney.

Visited this place based on the recommendation of my cousin.......typical tamil style informal eatery,well maintained and hygienic, idli will take you straight to the gallis of chennai.......authentic takkali chutney......tomato bath is simply awsome.......one plate will never suffice....

U get only limited items like rice and sambar, rasam, palya papad and masala vada really taste like homely food. Taste is too good
