Whether you're a cricket fan or just looking for a well-equipped sports venue, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is definitely worth a visit.

Well maintained. Well organised. Mostly clean. I didn't visit the toilet, so I'm not sure how the situation was there. Ample space for parking and the metro is very nearby.

Review on Jan 2024:

Let's begin with the positive aspects:

1. Transparency: Notably, the HCA president provided regular updates on the match and ticket sales, enhancing transparency. Advance information on ticket availability resulted in a substantial turnout at the Gymkhana, proving that tickets were indeed accessible.

2. Stadium Renovation: A significant improvement is the addition of a 360-degree roof covering all four sides of the stadium. This long-overdue enhancement adds to the aesthetic appeal of the stadium and provides much-needed shade for spectators during day games.

3. Seat Replacement: Addressing longstanding complaints from fans, all seats have been replaced, alleviating issues such as broken seats and unsanitary conditions. This refurbishment is a significant relief for attendees.

4. Drinking Water Facilities: The provision of free drinking water, along with paper cups and plastic glasses, addresses a longstanding necessity. This basic amenity is crucial, and it's heartening to see it provided at Uppal Stadium.

5. Excited & Engaging HCA President: The enthusiasm displayed by the new HCA president in bringing about positive changes and attracting more matches to Hyderabad is commendable. Engaging with fans and school children reflects a proactive approach towards fostering a vibrant cricketing community. Well done JaganMohanRao garu.

Now, let's turn our attention to areas that require improvement:

1. Clueless Security: Gate security exhibited a lack of clarity regarding allowed items, causing inconvenience for many fans. Inconsistencies in rules, such as restrictions on smartwatches, sunglasses, sunscreens, and caps, need urgent clarification and uniform implementation. Not allowing sunglasses & sunscreens for the day game is not acceptable.

2. Washroom Conditions: Despite improvements in some sections, the overall cleanliness of washrooms remains a concern. They are OK.

3. Food Options and Quality: The limited food options and poor quality during the extended duration of a five-day test match are a letdown. Ensuring a variety of quality food or reinstating the option for two re-entries could enhance the overall match experience for fans.

I appreciate the positive changes underway. I eagerly look forward to witnessing further improvements and the hosting of more exciting matches in the future.

I went to Day 1 (east ground floor) and Day 2 (East 1st floor)- Ind vs Eng 1st test 2024.

Real cricket fans can enjoy the energy that’s coming from due-hard fans.
People who are not real fans tend to complain about cleanliness, food and all that. Trust me, we are happy to see our cricket idols playing right in front of us. idfc how the food or ambience is. We didn’t come here for that!!

Great experience at the South East Pavilion First Floor in the stadium during IND vs ENG Day 3. Food was available throughout and bathroom was clean enough. We had a good time.

The Best cricket stadium in India, watched First test match between India and England of IDFC Fist bank series 2024.

Beautiful stadium. Had the prestige of playing here at a league match. Was also part of 2 SRH net sessions in the year 2017, had lot of fun. All the players were very kind hearted and always helped the juniors. They also had dinner with us, sat with us. A very happy memory.

Good international cricket stadium watched two international matches and some Ipl matches at the stadium. We have to buy tickets in Bookmyshow or paytm then collect physical tickets at venue or gymkhan grounds. 1700₹ ticket has best view and screen is also visible for checking scorecard and drs scenes or else direct view of the match is very clear . Parking is little bit trouble. People cmg by metro face so much waiting que issue .

Witnessed the rcb match and test match India vs England.Virat 100 I am very happy. The stadium was nice.

It's really good circumstances that can attract audiences. We watched Pak vs Srilanka match where 4 people performed 100 runs in one match.

Spacious and neat stadium. Average varieties of food eatable options. But prices are too high. Bringing food from outside is prohibited. Security checking team will ask to handover food and drink items if brought from outside.

After getting lot of criticism for its maintenance seems HCA renovated it well and has been under good maintenance... Overall great experience and lovely atmosphere

Loved the atmosphere here. The stadium was full house. Hosted a international match after years which made the game more interesting❤👌🏻👍🏻

Terrific ground . The outfield is just outstanding. Police won't allow you to carry water bottles, wired or wireless ear phones , Music instruments and flag sticks so plan accordingly. Inside the stadium drinking water is available. It's better to prefer night matches than day matches as major part of the stadium doesn't have any roof.

Awesome infrastructure. Well manned and managed. Shoutout to Team Orange for a great job.

Food and beverages are super expensive and way overpriced. These prices need to be regulated.
