This is the first lingam when u start girivalam. It is very near to the main Rajagopuram. Indiran is more concerned with the devotion to Shiva. He wil get troubled with some saabam. Lord shiva gives vimochanan. His elephant iravadham too. Somavara viradham is too special

Indra manifests seated on his elephant, wielding in his hand the weapon Vajra with which he destroys ignorance and bestows the light of knowledge on his deserving devotees. He offers the sweet nectar of spiritual knowledge to those who are fitting and ripe.

This would be the 1st Shiva Lingam if you are starting your Giri Pradikshana from the Raja, i.e. the North gate, Gopuram. The entrance of this Temple is comparatively very small and can be missed easily as it is in the busy street and between shops.

First lingam of the Girivalam. Located right outside Annamalayar temple. Quite a peaceful temple.

However the roads outside is quite congested and there is no dedicated parking area available here.

The First Lingam you worship on the Girivalam Pradakshanam by foot 🙏 Situated near a crowded noisy market place , this place is so special and gives a kick Start energy for the enduring Girivalam.
You go down the steps into a cellar like basement temple ☝
But the Darshan of the Lingam energises you when you ascend up 👏 Do Girivalam & you will know what I mean 😊
