Tiruvannamalai

Beemanmadavu Waterfalls also known as Bheema Falls, are the most prominent and frequent waterfalls in Javadu Hills. The falls are located 5 kilometres from Jamanamaruthur village and 80 kilometres from Thiruvannamalai.

Reference to Mythology

Beemanmadavu is believed to have been named after one of the Pandavas brother Bhima. Bhima is said to have worshipped the Sun God at this location. According to legend, Pandava brothers (of the epic fame Mahabharata) had visited this region during their exile from kingdom.

Beemanmadavu falls was located in Jamanamarathur village of Jawadhu hills. The season would be after the rainy season only. Beemanmadavu Falls is a nature tourism site in South India. This spot is also a photographer’s choice. Beemanmadavu Falls is suitable for trekking for an adventure tourist. The solitude of the hills near Beemanmadavu Falls and its surroundings make the nocturnal stay in a new experience to a traveller, who loves thrill and enthusiasm Jamanamarathur is situated 40 km from Polur region in Thiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu

Wow! Such a beautiful and silent place. There are 2 falls available. As of now they are allowing First starting falls only another one not allowed due to heavy water and depth. All time my favourite place🥰🥰🥰

Had a great time here. Go in the early morning or at least before 9AM or it will be crowded after that. You can also visit around 5PM, but it will get dark soon after. No police when we came back at the check post.
Entry Fee is 10rs per person and 10rs for Two wheeler.

This place is got a waterfalls, nice pond, boating, and some good meadows to spend time.

As with any Waterfalls in TN, this 3-deck falls has been designed for "Bathing", and not for nature conservation. Expect 100s of people bathing, washing and using soaps - thats TN for you. We went in peak monsoon, and the Water was very dirty - not the froth from rolling water, but it looked like Industrial effluents mixed.

Safety - there is a cemented path that goes along the stream for all the three cascades. The first cascade is short, easily reachable from the parking (5 min walk). The second cascade has to be reached by climbing downstairs and crossing water/rocks. The third is even more dangerous - but you have good pools of water to play around. The second/third cascades themselves are not reachable easily - you may have to swim/climb rocks. Don't risk if you have kids.

The falls and it's location is very good. But it's not at all safe. Major risk of felling down . Even I fall down and luckily saved , otherwise can't imagine. All the rocks are very slippery. Decide yourselves.
