Sri Mulastaneswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam

Shri Mulasthaneswar temple in Mulapeta, Nellore is ancient and very well maintained. The moolavar in the sanctum is suyambu Lingam. Though the temple is believed to be 1400 years old, recent renovation and upkeep makes premises very neat and clean. Shri Bhuvaneshwari Amman in a separate beautiful sannidhi. Shri Saraswati Devi in the outer prakaram. Had divine darshan during evening abhishegam of the Lord. Devotees can go very near the sanctum and pray both in Shiva and Amman sannidhis.

Maintenance good.. Needs improvement outside temple..

Very old temple. Very peaceful. Especially there is goddess Saraswati Devi temple inside this premises, where we performed aksharabyasam for my daughter. The Pooja is good and did very peacefully.

It is a very old temple in nellore and one of the famous siva temples in nellore. The name mulapeta one of the areas of Nellore came from this temple name. This temple has Nellore's biggest Vinayaka statue(as i know) in front of the main temple. A very spacious temple and it is heavily crowded on any occasions and in Karthikamasam.
