Best place to visit in winter while if you want to avoid crowds go in August September, very good scenes and temple,a must go place , remember you have to take auto from the chouraha or you can take bus it costs between 900-1100 for 10 people in auto including return fare and in bus rs 80/person including return fare ,at the mountain the rope way charge is 120 including return,and car charge is 90 including return,do visit place and monkeys don't snatch things 😂

Vindhyavasini Vijayasan Maa Durga temple at Salkanpur is situated on a mountain which is accessible by road, stairs and cable car. The temple is beautifully constructed and surrounded by green and having a very good climate.

The weekends can be crowded and you may need to stand extra time in the queue. There is also an option of direct darshana from outside the queue but behind a gate.

There is a new corridor construction is underway and looks like it will be promising when completed.

A beautiful religious peaceful place. It can be reached by stairs (more than 1000), ropeway, by cemented road (vehicles can go up, free of cost parking is available). Shops for Prasad, pooja items, souvenirs, refreshment are available near the temple. Drinking water is available. From the top the view is awesome. This place is well maintained and clean. During Navratri it gets crowded. I love to visit this place for darshan. Buses are available from Bhopal, Budni, Hoshangabad.

Temple is located at 70 km from Bhopal. Temple is located at beautiful mountain.

Salkanpur is connected with Bhopal and Narmdapuram railway station. If you visit by Car you can take your car till top if you are coming from Narmdapuram, the route is 3km before the stair. If you go by Bus you can either take stairs or cable car to reach the temple.

It was accessible by road and skyline and stairs and was neat and clean. I advise you to visit on non religious days to have more fun and good view and a relaxing place to visit.

Very beautiful place. The temple of Bijasan Mata is situated at a height. There is also a road system along with stairs and rope way to go here. Its height is equal to the clouds. Here Bhandara is also available for the devotees.

Beautiful temple renovated under guidance of MP CM Shivraj. Spacious corridor and temple property with enough space for the devotees in the main temple worship building to sit on the floor and enjoy the spritual vibes while chanting slokas and mantras.
Temple is located on top of mountain and when coming via rental cabs one can reach the top of the temple ( cab travellers charged extra 235 rs for bring vehicle to top probably coz of extra load imposed on vehicle engine due to steep driving) without needing to walk stairs, so feel motivated to bring along the senior citizen of your family. We reached temple at 7:30 pm and were lucky to attend the evening aarti and darshan.
Before temple there are many small shops for buying prasad, I highly recommend you buy prasad from shops closer to the temple area as they are usually struggling to get customers while shop at entry grab all the devotees.

Jai Mata Di this is very oldest famous place of Shri Vindhyawasini Vijayasan mata temple. There is also Shiva temple near by 2 KM. This all way acess like walking, Cars, bike etc. Must visit....

A must go temple in MP..All the facilities are superb..The road has been constructed for vehicles and a special vehicle has provided for the disabled people..paalki is also provided.. Pets are also allowed there..I took my Brownie🐕 with me there 😋Overall a very good atmosphere. And awesome views can be captured from the top.👌👌

One of the best maintained place of worship in India, located in MP. This ancient temple is beautifully renovated and the surrounding area is neatly developed and beautified. Earlier it was difficult for elderly and disabled to reach the main temple, but now the road access is improved and a cable car option is also available along with the stairs from the foothills. Mata Vijayasani Vidhyavasini is believed to shower her blessings to all those who visit this temple with utmost belief and devotion. Jai Maa Vijayasani Vindhyavaasini of Salkanpur. One ancient Mahadev temple is also located on the top of the hill which also offers great scenic and panoramic view from the top.

This temple is situated in shalkanpur of sehore district, Madhya Pradesh on Vindhyanchal mountain. From base gate there are around 1400 stairs to reach the temple, apart from that a supporting road is also available to reach by vehicle approx nearby temple area from where it would be walking distance, now rope way also started but mostly people prefer stairs to reach unless having some problems of health, fitness or age factor. Visitors feel blessed and peace in this place. Temple is well maintained with all basic fascilities, although devote from different places visit throughout the year, but its more crowded during both navratris, summar / winter vacation including other festive and holiday occasions.

better visit by 2:00 Pm as ropeway shut down by 2:15 and return is by 4:30 from top
