Thusharagiri amazed me with its beauty. It's the perfect place for family outings, especially with kids who enjoy trekking, waterfall bathing, and exploring the forest. Additionally, there's a zip line along Thusharagiri Bridge.

Thusharagiri Waterfalls consist of three falls in the same stream. The first is around 100 meters from the parking, the second is 500 meters, and the third is 1 kilometer away.

The best time to visit is from September to January. While trekking, carry water, and there's filtered water available at the base ticket counter.

During the rainy season, access to the second and third falls may be restricted due to slippery paths, leeches, and increased waterfall flow.

Entrance fees: Adults - ₹40, Children - ₹20, Foreigners - ₹60.
Parking fees: Car - ₹40, Bike - ₹10.

I had known about Thusharagiri since childhood but couldn't visit until one fine day during Christmas holidays(27 dec 2023). I reached there at 10:20 AM after a scenic 5 km journey from Adivaram.

The first waterfall called Eerattumukk, is around 100m from the parking, attracting many visitors. If trekking to the remaining waterfalls is challenging, taking a bath and enjoying the first one is a great option. Nearby, there's a 400-year-old beda nut tree called "Thanni Muthassi."

The trek from the first to the second waterfall called Mazhavil falls, took me about 15 minutes(as i was treking fast). It's a steep 500m climb, but the breathtaking view makes it worth the effort.
After a tiring trek, washing in the cold stream water is refreshing. I took a short rest, washing my face and dipping my legs in the cold stream water.

The next 500m trek leads to the third waterfall, Thumbithillum Para, the most beautiful one. It took only 15 minutes for me to reach there. There's enough water to take a bath in the cool, fresh water, and the stream water is pure enough to drink if comfortable.

Afterwards, you can trek back the same way.

I hope my review has given you a good understanding of this place. If so, please show your appreciation by giving it a like.

Superb water fall.. Consist of 3 watefalls..Since visited at rainy times could not visit 2 of them which is far at heights.. It was not allowed.. Surroundings are well maintained.. 400 year old thanni tree was an amazing watch... Visited the second time on the 18th of December when I could go up to the other 2 waterfalls.. It was a beautiful trek through the forest.. Walking up to the fist one is a bit straining rather than walking to the second one from there.. The first one is an average waterfall.. If you are going to visit the other 2 falls you should not stop visiting the first one.. The last one was an amazing watch in the midst of the forest..

Today water was less but was good enough for bath. Perfect water force .
Water level was less still you could swim.

If you love swimming and taking bath in falls. Ideal place to visit.

You can drive to the nearest spot. Not much hiking is required.

This is one of my favorite places.I remember coming here two years ago. These are 3 beautiful waterfalls surrounded by dense forest. The height is 3rd and old people & those with health problems can't go there, 2nd and 3rd route is very dangerous and difficult, there is no access to two or three waterfalls after 3pm. You can enjoy swimming under it and sitting under the waterfall. Great fun!Government approved waterfall and swimming area with adequate safety systems and good place for family and friends

Ticket price

A good experience for People who love a small trekking. The entrance would open at 8.30 am and there is Rs.30 ticket for adults.
You can visit 3 water falls in this ticket one after the other. Also there is an old tree which is hollow inside, where you can enjoy to take a nice snap.
First water fall is nearly 100 meters from the entrance.
2nd one is almost 400 meters from the 1st waterfall and you have to climb steep steps nd rocks to reach there.
3rd waterfall is on the top which is almost 400 meters from the 2nd one. The trekking to 2nd and 3rd is very good experience as the path is narrow and steep including a small walk through forest area.
There is a Zip line for paid where tourists can enjoy the beauty of the waterfall if you are visiting in monsoon season.
Overall it was a very good experience for me and you would also like if you are a person who love small trekking and live the nature. Come prepared to spend atleast half a day here and you can take bath in the waterfall as well.

Thusharagiri Waterfalls offers a refreshing adventure for travelers in Kerala. This cascading beauty plunges down multiple tiers, creating a picture-perfect scene amidst lush greenery. The surrounding landscape is perfect for nature enthusiasts, with opportunities to spot exotic birds and lose yourself in the tranquility of the rainforest. Take a dip in the cool pools at the base of the falls, or simply relax on the rocks and let the sound of cascading water wash over you.

While Thusharagiri promises a refreshing escape, it's important to be aware of a few things. The falls are seasonal, with the most spectacular displays occurring during the monsoon season (roughly June to September). During drier months, the water flow can be significantly reduced. Additionally, while there are walking paths to reach the falls, they can be uneven and slippery, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes.

Overall, Thusharagiri Waterfalls is a great choice for travelers seeking a natural escape. Just be prepared for the possibility of lower water levels depending on the season, and prioritize comfortable footwear for navigating the terrain. The reward? A chance to cool off, soak in the beauty of nature, and create some lasting memories.

There are 3 waterfalls. People are allowed to visit the top 2 only when rainy season is over. The trek to top 2 is easy and you have to cross the river as part of it. There are good numbers of security staff in this place. Also they have taken great care to keep the please plastic free. The first waterfall is safe enough for families.

It was a great experience. Highly recommended for trekking lovers. It's actually a set of 3 waterfalls. The first one is near to the entrance. To reach the second waterfall, you've to climb around 1km, and if you trek for another half km, you'll reach at the topmost waterfall which is the best one out of the three.

This place have three waterfalls in different levels most of the visitors won't try to make next two levels the first waterfall are really comfortable for family. And it's ain't too much deep soo even kids can enjoy this waterfalls. But if you want to grasp everything you should climb to next two levels. Summer season is best season to visit this place in rainy season waterfalls could be danger .This snowy effect of waterfalls surely pilfers your sense of organs. It offers eternal scope for trekking, rock climbing and wild life sanctuary stopovers
