This is situated in Kerala - Tamil Nadu - Karnataka border. If you want Government will arrange Forest safari inside this. Very beautiful location

Various options of wild life sighting here.
1. Take a drive or travel in a bus from Muthanga to Gundelpet from 0600 am when the check post opens. Will get to see wild elephants, deers and if you are lucky much more
2. Do a Forest safari from Muthanga forest range office by forest department, based on season, weather and other factors if you are lucky will get to see wild animals.

Top forest in wayanad kerala. Super environment. Good for nature photography. But if we have no permission we have no chance to enter in the forest. There is so many wild animals . We don't throu plastic in to the forest. Save green. Good place for riders . Very good road.

If You have interest to forest drive don't think you goooooo.but (I prefer Munnar chinnar marayoor Pollachi rout). But now covide negative certificate is required (05/04/21). Morning or evening is better to chooose.

Muthanga forest is in wayanad district of Kerala State on the karnataka side it's known as Bandipur forest, entry into the forest is prohibited in the night from 9 pm to 6 am, the forest start's after Gundulpet & ends in muthunga, if you are lucky enough when traveling to wayanad on this stretch you can see Elephants, Deer, langoor, y'ak &peacocks which are common, a drive through the forest will make you think that you are out of this world, greenery on both sides especially during rainy and winter, no doubt if you are lucky enough this will be one of your most memorable moments, a weekend drive is a must if you want to enjoy the nature at its best, it's around 320 km from Bangalore, a must visit place for nature lover
