It was a great experience of pigeon feeding and a nandi bull on the lakeside. Here is the facility of boating. A renowned temple of God Dwarkadheesh ji synonyms of lord Krishna. Divine feeling in the temple. Very tasty and healthy prasadam is sold by the temple committee on economic and affordable prices.

Rajsamand...the district named after the lake.

Here resides... art, nature, history and even literature in marble!

Another shining name takes forward the golden chain of Bappa Rawal, Maharana Kumbha, Sanga, Pratap,

#Maharana_RajSingh

Today's Shabd Yatra is in his name! This Sunday I had the good fortune to visit Rajsamudra Lake, a dam built on the Gomti River by Maharana Raj Singh. An unmatched example of #nature #architecture #devotion #art #literature #tradition and #history!

The great #Rajprashasti epic written by royal poet Ranchhod Bhatt Telang on a pal and 50 white stones after 9 marble stairs!

These have been affected by the ravages of time, most of which have been covered with nets for protection.

Slowly moving in blue behind the white marble

Rajsamudra gives a different peaceful feeling. How can one not be captivated by the artworks inside the umbrellas, so much detail!!!

Just keep watching!
Suitable places for photography

Kankroli (Rajnagar) town situated on the Udaipur-Bhilwara highway, located near this huge lake, is actually the district headquarters.

Despite it seeming like a small city to me, when I saw the good traffic system, I exclaimed that such a system was not seen even in Udaipur. (What to say about Bhilwara!)

Kankroli is the district headquarters of Rajsamand district. Rajasthan: Would it be possible that Rajsamand would be the only district in India in which a place with the name of the district does not exist?

After traversing long and narrow streets and asking passers-by, we reached #RajSamudra/#RajSamandJheel. 9 Ghevar Devi, who filled the foundation of this dam near Chowki Pal

#Ghevarmata temple is built on the other side, and #Ambamata temple is built on the other side.

One can see a glimpse of the great personality of Maharana Raj Singh in this huge lake built at a cost of about Rs 1.5 crore in 1676, exactly 100 years after the famous Battle of Haldighati in 1576. It is 2.82 kilometers (1.75 mi) wide, 6.4 kilometers (4.0 mi) long and 18 meters (59 ft) deep. It was built on the Gomti River, Kelva River and Tali River. It was built by Maharana Raj Singh as an atonement for the human killings he had committed during his life.

The name of Maharana Raj Singh is immortal among the great heroes of Mewar, about whom we will know better in the upcoming posts. Coming here you feel like the sea. It was raining yesterday...everything was drenched...the clouds and the sea meeting exactly...we too are drenched...from outside...from within...it will definitely come from the heart...

Rajsamand Lake in Rajasthan was a delightful surprise. This massive lake features beautiful marble steps. Tourists enjoy the peaceful scenery and take boat rides to appreciate its grandeur and lush surroundings fully. The Raj-Prashasti viewpoint atop the dam holds the world's longest and largest stone inscription in Sanskrit. It's etched on 25 black marble slabs, recounting the history of Mewar.

This lake Also popularly known as the Rajsamudra Lake, the Rajsamand Lake is a famous tourist attraction that is located 66 kilometers to the north of Udaipur, near the town of Rajsamand, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The lake was constructed in the 17th century by Maharana Raj Singh and was built across the Gomati, Kelwa and Tali Rivers, with a total catchment area of around 196 square miles. The serene lake looks the most striking and stunning at the time of the sunset when the soft light of the setting sun casts an almost magic like glitter upon the pristine waters of the lake.

The lake is one of the five famous lakes in Mewar and lies nestled between the cities of Rajnagar and Kanroli. The major water source of the lake is the River Gomti. Towards the south of the lake, one can find a vast embankment that is composed entirely of white marble. This embankment is complete with marble terraces and beautiful stone steps that are in contact with the water of the lake. The five weighing arches or 'toranas' are where Maharaja Raj Singh and his descendants organized the annual event of Tuladan, wherein the kings weighed themselves in gold, and then distributed this gold amongst the Brahmins. This tradition of Tuladan was followed by the descendants of the Maharaja even after his death.

Despite the fact that the Rajsamand Lake has a vast area of cross-section, it tends to dry up during periods of severe drought. Nevertheless, the cool breeze blowing around the lake, the sight of the sparkling white marble and the pure water next to it, all make up for a picture perfect spot that is breathtakingly beautiful, and a must visit at least once in a lifetime.

It's beautiful and historical place
👉Nau Chauki - It is built over dam towards Kankroli. It has 3 intricately carved marble pavilions, with images of various Hindu gods, dancers, birds and animals. There were 5Tula-daan toran of which only 3 survive now on Nau Chauki,[4] where various charities and Tula-Daan was performed by Maharana Raj Singh, his wife, his son, purohit and others.[5]

Awesome place to chill out. Long walk on the lakeside is quite refreshing. You could click some nice pics too. Better if you go at night, the lights and the fountain add a significant ambience to the place. In daytime you could go down and soak your feet at the ghat. There are 2-3 temples to visit as well.
