A beautiful place to visit...the river was quite full with water when we visited. There is a large place at the entrance which is available for picnic and car parking. we walked between the rocks and sat their for some time enjoying the breeze and the sound of flowing water.

This natural beauty is the main tributary of the Subarnarekha. It is joined by the Kupon river, Banshir Khal, Polpala Khal, Deb river and Putrangi Khal.. It covers so many tourist & historical spots like kanak durga mandir, chilkigarh rajbari etc..

The Dulung river
It is one of the main tributaries of the Subarnarekha river. It originates near Dulungdiha. It terminates with it's confluence with Subarnarekha River near Rohini.
It is believed that King Gopinath has built the Kanak Durga temple which is estimated to be more then 500 years old. The king dreamt the idol of Goddess Kanak Durga, and he built the temple of the goddess. As the name suggests Kanak, the idol, is completely made of Gold and is 2(two)feet in hight. It is believed that human sacrifice formed a vital ritual during the times of the royal. Until and unless the sacrificial blood reached the Dulung River, the ritual continued.

It is just 600m from chikligarh raj bari. A little developed tourism and little more accommodation can change the place. Which will healp locals to earn some money. Beauty of this river is very picturesque. And during rainy season it looks awesome. Wanted to spend night with the song of the river but ......
