Vellore Govt Museum. Looks like more of a non thought out effort with a limited resource. Very shabily maintained. Looks like very casual approch to the exhibits without any co relation to one another.

Some of the exhibits could be a treasure of value and knowledge, displaying which needs some better efforts from the curator.

There are a lot of antique statues, coins, notes and other historical things...

Vellore Museum is one of the must visit place for all. Children's can learn the history here.

Vellore Museum’s overall area is about 9000 square feet in which the display area is 5000 square feet. The museum has 2896 exhibits, both displayed and reserve. Museum has 8 galleries.

They were outstanding in their jobs. Some one will feel thrilled to see the weapon used in the battle . In one word great place to loiter. Opening time is 9.30 am to 5.00 pm.

Govt museum is in Vellore fort is equipped with lots of old stuffs with proper description to understand. You will be charged Rs. 5 as entry fee and Rs. 20 for photography per person. You will find many old sculptures, inscriptions built in greenstone, granite, mudstone. Many canons with gunpowder balls used in Vellore fort is also kept there. Overall, experienced our history greatly.

Must install CCTV to keep safe from Thieves. Can decorate, construct more rooms and bring in more collection, after that can double the fee. Currently it has 5rs. entry ticket. This State Govt. Museum has centuries old stone statues, coins, swords, pots, pictures etc. Staff is polite and helpful.

A nice place to visit ticket charges is 10 per head. And they need to improve inside no ventilation so it is hot. There is an old war item, stone, animals etc if u want a photo and video it's an extra charge.

Excellent Museum inside vellore fort. Ticket price only rs 3.

Old swords, coins, and sculptures can be seen of those times. Worth seeing.

It was most attractive.
Tipu sultan was king of that place.

Great place to visit, bit like time traveling saw more history related statues, swords, coins n a lot more. Do visit if you have time.
