The amazing Architecture, mesmerizing statues , The way it stands till today like a true champion of champions. One has to feel the walls and take the same path our kings and queen where once roam around to offer prayers, from the massive ,gigantic,Huge - entrance door to the covered- well, the pillars , well kept corridors, the huge walls protecting them from all possible dangers simply amazing . The peace you get once you sit down and enjoy the time of being in the moment . My family visited here in the evening time perfect time to move around and explore the fort too.

Enchanting temple. Though each and every temple in Tamil Nadu was breathtaking, but this was something else.
You can visit it during weekdays as it will be too crowded during weekends.
Make sure to remove your footwear outside the temple before entering.

Namah shivaya..! Temple is marvellous and extraordinary vijayanagara architecture, slightly below the ground level, welcomes you with huge Raja gopuram, inside kalyana mandapam(wedding hall) has stunning details and carvings. Peaceful mantra sounds, gandam smell and bell rings all over temple, less crowd and more blissful. Beautiful corridors all around with madapams. Evenings or mornings are best time to go. You can explore the Vellore fort as well. 2-3 hours needed to see everything.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Jaliandeshwar Temple located within the historical Vellore Fort, and the experience was truly captivating. This ancient temple, with its intricate architecture and rich history, left a lasting impression on me.

The Jaliandeshwar Temple is a stunning example of Dravidian architecture, characterized by its intricate carvings and ornate design. As I entered the temple complex, I was immediately struck by the impressive gopuram (gateway tower) that greeted me. The temple's exterior is adorned with beautifully carved sculptures and figures that tell stories of Hindu mythology.

What makes this temple truly unique is the presence of a massive, monolithic lingam, a representation of Lord Shiva, which is one of the largest in India. The sheer size of the lingam is awe-inspiring and adds to the spiritual ambiance of the temple.

Inside the temple, I was immersed in a sense of serenity and devotion. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the intricate artwork on the pillars and ceilings showcased the craftsmanship of the artisans of the past.

What sets the Jaliandeshwar Temple apart is the fact that it is situated within the Vellore Fort, a historical fortress with a rich past. Exploring the fort itself was a fascinating experience, and the temple was a jewel within this historic complex.

Overall, the Jaliandeshwar Temple in Vellore Fort is a must-visit for travelers interested in history, culture, and spirituality. Its architectural beauty and the serene atmosphere make it a truly remarkable destination for anyone exploring the region. Whether you're a devotee or a history enthusiast, this temple offers a unique and enriching experience that should not be missed.

I was blown away by the temple architecture with huge Gopuram at the Enterance. It was so intricate and majestic, like nothing I had ever seen before. The carvings on the walls made me feel like I was in a sacred place. I hear the chanting mantras and the bells ringing. The temple was a masterpiece of art and history, and I felt lucky to witness it. I recommend everyone to visit the holy palace & get blessings.

The temple is based on the Vijayanagar Architecture which it is famous for from Hampi. The temple is a Shiva Temple and the Shivling can be seen easily. The crowds are manageable and not too much. The lawns and premises are well maintained.
