Shri Murugan Temple

This is the birth place of kirubanantha vaariyar. Beautiful murugan temple was made by him. newly added golden kodimaram is added special to This Murugan temple. There are two gopurams for this temple. Sashti, aadi kirthigai, panguni uthiram are the major festivals here. Transport - Katpadi railway station is the nearest railway station and kangayanallur bus stop is the nearest bus stop. Kirubanantha vaariyar manimandapam was built opposite to the temple.

This temple is few distance to palar river, it's really nice temple, this temple is situated in a interior part, just opposite you'll find the kirubanantha variar mandapam.

We're visiting this temple since last 30 years or so even before Hotel Saravana Bhavan took over. Very clean, pious temple with very pleasing Gurukkals and employees. Vetri vel muruganukku Arohara.

This temple is liked & loved by Sri Muruga Kirubananda Variar ,a very famous personality in Hindu religious discourses particularly known for his knowledge in Tamil literature,humour,quick wit,clever repartees etc.He is a native of Kangeyanallur.He had acted in a few Tamil movies also.This temple along with Shenpakkam Suyambu Vinayagar was very popular among the Velloreans.A beautiful temple.

Beautiful Temple. Kangeyanallore is the Birth Place of Kribanandha Varriyar who has done lot of discourse Lord Muruga. Seperate Temple Kribanandha varriyar just opposite to Murugan Temple.
