Sita Kund is a beautiful and serene place near the Gomti river in Sultanpur. It is a temple dedicated to Lord Rama and Sita, and also has a historical significance. According to legend, Sita took a bath in the kund (pond) after being rescued from Ravana by Rama. The water of the kund is said to have healing properties and many devotees come here to take a dip. The temple is well-maintained and has a peaceful atmosphere. The parijat tree near the temple is also very old and rare, and is believed to have been brought from heaven by Lord Krishna. The tree blooms at night and has fragrant flowers. The temple also hosts a fair during Ram Navami, which attracts many visitors from nearby areas. The temple is easily accessible by road and is about 5 km from the Civil Lines area of Sultanpur. There are also some hotels and restaurants nearby for accommodation and food. I visited this place with my family and we had a wonderful time. The temple staff was very helpful and courteous, and the place was very clean and well-organized. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the spiritual and cultural heritage of Sultanpur. Sita Kund is a must-visit place for anyone who loves nature,

Sitakund:
It is situated in the city of Sultanpur on the Gomti River.

People come to Bath in the Gomti river at Chait Ramnavmi, Madhav Amavasya and Kartik Purnima, in this huge number.

According to available records, Bhagwati Sita had bath here with Lord Shri Ram while on the way to exile.

Good to know they are still preserved. The place has its own value.
