Nestled in the heart of Port Blair, the Vetri Malai Murugan Temple is a sanctuary of serenity and devotion on the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Boasting a sprawling expanse, the temple not only accommodates the spiritual needs of its devotees but also caters to the practicalities with ample parking spaces, ensuring a hassle-free visit.

One distinctive feature that sets this temple apart is the incorporation of Pooja rituals conducted in Tamil. This cultural nuance adds a profound sense of connection for worshippers, particularly those devoted to Lord Muruga. The resonance of Tamil language in Pooja creates an atmosphere where religious fervor blends seamlessly with cultural identity.

Beyond the material aspects, the temple provides more than just a physical space for religious practices. It opens its doors to a tranquil ambiance, inviting visitors to delve into a meditative state. The peaceful surroundings become a conduit for introspection and spiritual contemplation.

As one traverses through the temple grounds, a subtle yet enchanting aroma permeates the air—a testament to the sacredness and devotion embedded in every corner. This aromatic embrace enhances the sensory experience, enveloping visitors in a cocoon of spirituality.

In essence, the Vetri Malai Murugan Temple emerges not only as a place of worship but also as a haven for seekers of inner peace. Its thoughtful amenities, cultural inclusivity, and tranquil ambiance make it a destination where devotees can transcend the mundane and embark on a spiritual journey.

A beautiful temple ,renovated around 5 year back. It is learnt that the old temple existed at Ross Island during 1947 , shifted to present location at Port Blair before 1967. Poojas (prayers) are going on round the years.
