Sandy Shores Home Stay

A great place to stay. The host is very warm and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and super clean. They are well-equipped with air conditioners, a fridge and basic kitchen stuff. In all, its a great accommodation option in Port Blair.
We only stayed one night at Nitin's place in January 2024, but he very kindly helped us with local transport and great dining options.

"Warm Stay with a Few Considerations Near Port Blair Airport"

My recent three-day stay at this homestay near Port Blair Airport was truly delightful. The accommodation provided a fantastic experience at an economical price, featuring well-maintained, clean rooms with a fully equipped kitchen – ideal for guests traveling with small children.

Nitin, the owner, is a gem with exceptional hospitality, available to assist us 24x7. Despite its unassuming exterior, being just 3 km from the airport, the interior surpassed expectations. However, it's worth noting that the presence of a cow in front of the road may create a slight odor. Additionally, the entrance to the homestay could use some improvement. Nevertheless, for those seeking a comfortable, family-friendly stay on a budget, I highly recommend this homestay.

One consideration is that the website photos, taken with lights, may make the property seem more radiant than it appears in person.

It's beautiful and amazing!! Clean room and washroom. Provided with wifi, television and good Air conditioner!! You also get basic kitchen amenities just outside your room looking like mini kitchen!!! And Nitin the host always ready to help and ensure that you enjoy your stay!! He helps me alot during my stay!!! Thanks Nitin onnce again!!!

Nitin’s place is very conveniently located close to the airport and has lots of restaurants at a walkable distance. The rooms offered good value for money for a family staying near port Blair as they were spacious and had all the basic amenities including a refrigerator, well stocked kitchen. The host was very helpful in suggesting local recommendations as well as travel planning even before my arrival at his place. Hope to see to you soon!

We had a great time staying here. It was budget friendly and located near the airport. Host was super friendly and helpful. The room and kitchen were clean and equipped with all basic appliances. I will surely recommend it to my friends and family.

We stayed for 3 days in Portblair in Mar 23. This was one of the best home stays I've stayed in. Nitin as a host, is not just approachable but helps in lot of things in planning the Andaman itinerary in a better way. The rooms are clean, it's a 2bhk flat turned into individual rooms. The location and rooms have a homely touch. I stayed with my family and we all loved the place, the location and everything. It's located 3km from airport and 5-6 km from the city centre. I would highly recommend this homestay over any resorts or homestay in Portblair. Would definitely want to visit Nitin's place in case of Another Andaman trip.

Great place with a super host. The place is quite close to the Airport hence it's quick and easy to reach. Has all amenities, that you will need during vacation - small grocery shops, restaurants, cab/2-wheeler rentals located nearby. The best part - the host is a super guy. Quite helpful, and accommodates most of the guest's requests. He will also guide to the best areas to visit - prioritizing them as per your schedule.

Thanks to Nitin. He brought homely feeling due to his suggestions and help in making our trip remarkable. Nice room and kitchen. cleanliness was good. Will prefer to stay again whenever visit and suggest my friends. Keep it up Nitin and continue your kindness and helping nature.

The place is extremely clean and tidy. The location is also good. The rooms are big enough for two people. Bathroom was also very clean and with hygiene products. We stayed on two separate nights. Both the times found the place in pristine conditions. The kitchen is also accessible. We ordered outside food and ate in the kitchen. Very homely feel. The best part of staying at Sandy shores is the owner Nitin. Extremely helpful. Always answers all questions politely. The whole stay was very comfortable thanks to him.

Had a great 3 day stay here. The room was clean and well maintained. The host was very welcoming and helped me quite a bit being a first time traveller to Port Blair. The staff was always willing to help. Very reasonably priced too.

We stayed at Sandy Shores for 3 days during our stay in Andaman, and found it to be very good and affordable homestay. The place is located very near to the airport, and there are many good places to eat nearby. The host Nitin Sir is a very down to earth person and he made sure we have a comfortable stay. Will come again here for sure.

For Andaman tour, the starting point is little stay at Port Blair. With that said, sandy shores home in dollygunj area is a good fit. The property has 2 parts each with 2 rooms and kitchen. Rooms are neat and tidy. There is one boy for any help you need like, to get something from market. The owner is also friendly. We stayed there for 2 days, at the beginning of the tour and end of tour. Both time we had lot of fun and memories. We cooked our food (maggie and tea 😬) and talked a lot. Its a nice option for low-key stay. We all recommend a stay there. Also, important thing is that the place is just 3kms away from Airport.

Nitin was my first contact with an Islander. He called before my arrival and also assisted me on my way from the airport to the property (INR 100-120 by Autorikshaw, 3 kms). He had anticipated my mistakes (made commonly by tourists visiting the Islands) and gave recommendations which led me to maximise my experience at the Islands. He helped me get the tickets for the ferry, light & sound show at the Cellular Jail and also guided me to other best attractions around the Islands with priceless insider tips! The room was well maintained, with a balcony & big windows, AC & DTH TV. The washroom & common areas were clean. The breakfast was filling, hot & on time for my early departure. The neighbourhood is quiet (& safe) and ATMs(24X7) & restaurants (open till 10:30PM) were just 1 min walk away. Autorikshaws can easily be found on the main road (2 mins walk) and ply from early morning (6:30/7AM). Nitin made me feel at home & was kind enough to even invite me to dinner with his friends. All in all, my experience was wonderful!

Awesome room in such a decent price. Staff behaviour is the best. Free chocolate and candies are one of the best thing they do too. They guide you for the trip without any their personal interest. Please choose this for your stay without any second think.

Very nice experience. Friendly, polite and good-hearted owner of the place. He is a local hence he suggested us some very nice places to visit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Only need is to ask him though most of the time, he himself will tell you about local places. The rooms were like 2bhk apartment in which a bedroom was rented to us. That room had all the basic facilities such as AC, attached bathroom with English commode, bed/bedsheet/pillows, a WORKING TV, closet, some snacks and chocolates, towels. The rooms were very clean. The hall and kitchen were like common area for both bedrooms. It included a dining table, kitchen top which had RO water, clean utensils, basin, etc. It also has a fridge.
The per night charges were also very affordable around ₹1300 +/- depending on which travel agency you are booking your tickets. Yes, that good price for all the facilities provided. Overall, if you are planning to stay in Port Blair, this is a must place to stay. I know, I will next time.

Loved the stay over here. Price is very affordable and you can walk around and find restaurants, grocery stores, little chai stalls etc.
The owner (Mr. Nitin) is very helpful. Tickets cabs anything you need he'll guide well.
Room was clean and well equipped.
The owner also owns a cute Persian cat ☺

The Home stay is well maintained in a housing society with all the amenities. The service and hospitality of the host is excellent. I travelled with my entire family and overall it was a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend to my other friends too. Thanks Nitin for being an amazing Host. God Bless You

Amazing home stay and very nice host (Nitin). Clean and spacious rooms. Near to airport. Nitin was in constant touch with us and made sure all the process went smoothly. And need to mention Sandeep, he also helped us in many things. Thank you so much Nitin and Sandeep. Had a memorable 3 days stay at Port Blair. Highly recommended.

The place is spacious and located at a convenient place accessible to restaurants and shops . Place is clean and well maintained. We 5 friends all senior citizen stayed for 4 days and 4 nights between 26th Oct and 30 th Oct 2021.We could make best use of 2bedrooms, hall and kitchen.The host Mr Nitin was all help on matters relating to trips around Andaman. We visited Havelock islands in between and returned to stay before we returned to Bengaluru. 👌👍

It's all about Nitin, such a wonderful guy. He will do every possible thing to make your stay comfortable and tour awesome.
Besides all of the above, the location is great ( you will find many restaurants/Bar, tea & coffee shops, fast food centers). Airport is very close ( you can see runway while coming to Sandy shores).
Please note, Port Blair is not a big city that means you can reach any tourist spots within 10/20 minutes.
