The Kamalakanta kali bari or Kamalakanta temple is famous for the name of yogi Kamalakanta. Early 17th century Sadhak Kamalakanta was one of the grayest Maa Kaali sadhak of West Bengal. He wrote famous kaali sadhana songs. His spiritual songs are very famous in Bengal. Kamalakanta temple was his sadhan pith. After his popuerity the temple was named as Kamalakanta Kali Bari. This temple is situated near Borehat, beside Bharati Balika Vidyalaya (A Govt. sponsored girl's school.), Burdwan. You can hire battery rikshaw or toto to reach here from Burdwan junction. Distance approx 4.5 km from Burdwan railway station. This place is calm and soulful. The Maa Kali idol is fully made by kasthipathar stone.
