North Bay Lighthouse

Heaven on Earth. Yeah this place can only be defined as heaven.This is one of the best places I have ever visited in life. The views are beyond your imagination. You must get to the top of lighthouse to see the beauty of Earth.

You can go to the top, you can view Ross Island from there.

Entry Fee ₹30

There's a trek to the light from the North bay main shop area.

About 150 stairs to the top in the light house. Definitely go here if you are in North Bay Island.

Also along the way make sure to be careful of snakes.

Worth visiting for its light house and Japanese bunker. Many sporting activities are available and are more economical than Elephanta in Swaraj dweep. Food stalls serve tasty sea food and snacks.

You should definitely check out the lighthouse on North Bay Island.

The entry ticket is approximately 35-40 rupees per person.

Once at the top, you'll enjoy an amazing view.

In North Bay Island, you can find sea shells, purses, and other items at reasonable prices compared to other places.

If you love Maggi and tea, there are points where you can enjoy them.

You can also purchase raincoats (not the best quality, but they do the job for 100 rupees), clothes, towels, and more.

If you are physically fit and visiting north bay island, visit the light house. From the top of the light house you can see the entire area, it's beautiful. But if you are not able to walk in a 0.5 km slope and 150+ spiral staircase then you need to ignore it .

It is the best lighthouse you must visit during your Andaman trip, it's almost 115ft(35m) in height, you need to climb a lot of stairs and have to face lots of suffocation inside but it'll all be worth it when you reach the top of it. You'll be seeing the movie in real life, the view just can't be expressed in words. You can skip the water activities at north bay but just don't miss this lifetime experience of getting into this lighthouse. Ticket Price is just Rs 10 and even sometimes, you'll find no one here and you can enjoy it for free 😂. This lighthouse was once the part of Rs 20 note, it's a hidden gem, you'll be able to see a different world.

Awesome place. The location was enchanting. You see the whole island from light house top.

Very beautyful place. Its picturesque view may be seen in old ₹20note.To get the optimum pleasure one have to reach the top of the light house.Around 150setps to climb the top.At the top the view is beyond imagination. The all3 nearby island can be seen.The greenish blue water surely amuse you. Ticket is ₹10+20 camera charge.

1) North Point Light House is one of the main tourist attractions at Port Blair located at North bay, next to rosen island . Visitors are allowed to light house during day time with a minimal entry fee.
2) This light house has a rich heritage and also Japanese bunker existed in the same vicinity.
3) Connecting road is under development but can reach by local boat (around 30 min travel) .
4) North Point Light Houses services are extended with AIS (NAIS) and RACON facilities.
5) Main Light and Standby light services are available at night times also during daytime light house structure referred to as Day Mark.

North Bay Island.
Water scooters, speed boats, banana rides, snorkeling, scuba diving and a beautiful location. The localities claim that this is the island which has been printed on the 20 rupee note.

This is that same lighthouse with you have seen on old Rs. 20 note.. there is a provision to go to top of it also but there are some specific time when they allow

Very exciting experience. Persons who will visit North Bay Island try to visit place.

The climbing of those many steps was worth it. The view you see after reaching the top of the lighthouse can't be expressed in words ; just mesmerizing!

It was a 265 meter uphill walk and a climb of 150 steps to reach the top. It was all worth it for the view from the top of the light house. Amazing. Not for the faint hearted

Magical experience at top of the light house

As part of my Andaman visit,I have visited this place on 28.12.2023 along with my spouse and relatives.
There are too many activities are available here like glass boat riding, scoba diving etc.
People are going from Port Blair in the morning and returning back in the evening.
No choice to stay here. Too many small shops are available for drinks and food.
The prices are little bit costlier.

Beautiful view of North bay and couple of other Islands. A must visit apart from water sports on North Bay.

Trust me when I say this absolute gem of a place, I can gladly say I thing off the bucket list ..to get a 360 view from top of a light house and it's so pretty and beautiful....the ambience is to die for ..youtubers dream place
