Northern Terrace Coorg

Good place to relax with family. Mr Krithan made sure that our stay was comfortable. Its a new building, well maintained with all amenities. Food was homely and tasty. This homestay is easy to locate , there is a supermarket in the same building. Staff were very polite and helpful.

Krithan sir is a great host. He is so friendly and co-operative.convenient location. Delicious and hygienic food. Cozy rooms. Overall a great place to spend your holidays. I strongly recommend this place for families and friends

The stay was great, the location and the cleanliness was exceptional. The host Krithan very understanding and welcoming. I would suggest this place to stay if you are looking for a get away for your city life.

Best place to take a short break and for a peaceful getaway from our daily hassles. I really recommend this place to stay with your friends and family. Its located between madikere & Thalakaveri, and its really near to lush greenery and dense forest. I had 3 nights stay with my family at this place, had the best time and experience. This place also has really good restaurant dishes are really delicious.

Kirthan (The Host) was a Amazing guy… you name it Kirthan will arrange it… property was neat and clean and no complaints at all..Kirthan was helpful all the time… our stay was very peaceful and we enjoyed quality time with family with home made food, camp fire and tasty coffee.. Kirthan rocks!! I absolutely recommend this property…

Host Krithan is very accommodating for any last minute changes/issues and guided us well for places to visit around.

Would stay here again, if we are back in Coorg.

Host:
Krithan is a fabulous host and takes every effort to make the stay comfortable. Apart from managing the stay, he was helping us in arranging food and transport.

Location:
We consciously booked a place away from the crowded Madikeri town, as we expected heavy tourist inflow for new year weekend. The stay is located 22kms from Madikeri town and the drive is on a scenic peaceful road. Best suited if one has their own vehicle, northern terrace has ample open car parking space. If one is intent on visiting the tourist spots by local cab, then one needs to keep in mind the additional kilometer cost and time taken for the drive, since most of the tourist spots are close to Madikeri town.
Tala Kaveri and Bhagamandala are the 2 nearby tourist spots. Kopatty trek is also very close.
Usual tourist spots like Abbi falls, Dubare, Mandalpatti are best to be situated near Madikeri town or Kushal nagar.

Cleanliness:
We had booked 3 rooms and all 3 were very clean. The bed linens and pillows were fresh. Bathrooms were clean. Overall very happy with the place and didn't have any issues staying with 2 kids.

There will be insects attracted to lights in the evening, so remember to keep the doors closed.

Food:
KA12 restaurant is located on the same building. Food was very average and priced much more than extremely good restaurants in Madikeri town.
Luckily for us, Krithan helped us with homemade foods which was much better than restaurant food and we were happy with it.

Facilities:
We had campfire on the new year night and we had a good time. Having kids we couldn't extend the stay and had to pack up early.

The complex also has a super market and a pharmacy close by. So we could get most of the stuff we wanted easily.

Cons:
- unfortunately the stay doesn't come with kitchen utilities. Krithan provided us with a kettle so we could have boiled water. Krithan also helped us with boiled milk for our kid using his personal kitchen. But would be a great value add to have induction stove and very basic utensils. But it was not a big issue for us.

Verdict:
Best place if you would like to stay away from town life and have some time away with friends and family. Best suited if you bring your own vehicle.

Excellent place, located on a beautiful green stretch not far from Madkeri. Big and airy accommodation with clean bathroom and a well equipped kitchenette, very hospitable staff. A good place to stay in case you are planning to drive from North to south Coorg, lot of scenic places around.

Amazing Place , a perfect place to relax and feel the peace ! Nature all around with mesmerising view and places all around ! Mr Krithan - a great guy / a great host who will ensure that things fall in place & it’s a comfortable stay ! Recommended for family and travellers travelling to Coorg 👍

Nice place to relax and chill. The place was clean and the ambience was good. Its on the Talakaveri road downhill from Madekeri. Kirtan Sir is a great host. Great place for Family as well as Friends!!

Rooms were well maintained. Property owner Mr. Krithan is very friendly. Definitely suggest for others to go.

The place is nice... Rooms are also really clean ... The place is close to tala kaveri and baghmandala but its a somewhat far from maddikeri otherwise its nice to stay....

Great place to visit, food is delicious, adequate space for parking, staff is so polite and helpful, homely place to stay, hotel rooms are highly hygiene and place is reachable for every essential and can reach all the famous places of Madikeri.

Perfect location(right between Talakaveri and madikeri) comfortable room, beautiful restaurant. Staff was really helpful and follows every hygiene protocol
