Aai Bharadi Devi Temple, Anganewadi

This is the Jaagrut (Active) devasthan situated at Anganewadi, 10 km from Malvan. The Bharadi devi temple is in the village of Masure. Anganewadi is a small hamlet of Masure village. The Bharadi (Earth Goddess) devi is famous for her wish-fulfilling(Navas) power. Her devotees express their wishes (Navas) before her and once the wish is fulfilled they come again for a Darshan (visit) to express their gratitude.

Very beautiful temple situated in Malvan. Its 18 kms from tarkali beach. Its a very old temple and Aai Bharadi devi is worshipped in this temple. The temple is right now in some finishing of work but you can go and visit the temple opens at 8 am in the morning.🙏🏻

This is a very beautiful temple (some parts of it is under construction), marble work is new but really attractive. Atmosphere is very pleasant and clean. Ample parking available. Food stalls too available outside temple. We went there from Tarkarli by scooter. The drive was very pleasant too. Lots of mango trees and old banayan trees makes the whole ride awesome......lush greenery all around.

At Bharadi Devi temple a fair is organised every February when two hundred thousand i.e. millions of people visit the temple during the fair.

Special buses and passenger vehicles ply from Malvan and Kankavli to Anganewadi. Anganewadi is known as the Pandharpur of Konkan.

This temple is hyped in last two decades and become one of the top three temples in Sindhudurg district. Temple get modified recently. Great look, architecture and massive size compared with other nearby temples. Unlike other temples, this temple is owned and managed by Aangne family. It experience heavy footfall in Yearly jatra (fair). Apart from this temple, village not have that much to explore. Roads are also in bad shape.

It is a private temple but many people from different parts of Maharashtra visit here for the faith they have in Bharadi temple. There is a Yatra in the month of march-april every year.

Newly built temple is very incredible. Atmosphere is very nice and clean. Ample parking available. If you visit during festivals then it will be crowded.

Good place to visit during Jatra and lot of devotees visit during Jatra which is held February or March month. During festive season it take 1.30 to enter temple.

Every year in the month of February there is a fair(jatra) where lacks and lacks of people comes to visit this place. Even CM of Maharashtra also come here to take blessings of Aiee Bharadi Devi.
Temple was recently constructed with well maintained and with fine design.

The temple of goddess Bharadi Devi is very beautiful

The satisfaction of the visitors to Anganewadi fair keeps on increasing its popularity beyond the borders and attracts more number of devotees every year. The rituals at the fair are really interesting which include embellishing the stone plaque of the deity with ornaments, mask and new clothing. Afterwards the village barber standing in front of the temple reflects sunrays over the plaque. There is one more interesting trend which strengthens unity and cooperation among the residents during this fair. As per this trend one female from each family has to join cooking of food at the temple which is offered as Prasad to the devotees. The Jatra lasts for one and a half day only, but surprisingly brings flocks of devotees from the neighboring region.

The venue of the fair can be reached easily from Malvan which is just 10 km from the city. There are plenty of traveling options by road to reach Angnewadi. Nearby railway stations are Kankavli and Oros. If you are arriving from Mumbai, Pune or Goa then you can stay at one of the Malvan hotels located at central locations. The budget hotels of Malvan are the best means of balancing your requirements and pocket. After visiting the fair extend your stay for a day or two and enjoy the interesting sight seeing options of Malvan.
