We visited this temple in the month of December on 2023.

Amazing temple. Involves going under the ground to see the murti and the inside is also very beautiful. Do visit if you can. Multiple murti and deity remain under the ground.

Lots of cave type structures have been built in this temple called as "Patalpuri Temple" in which so many statues of God-goddess are established.

In this temple there are a lot of small temples and in every temple Panditji asks you to donate. If you don't want to donate then keep silent.

Thousands of people visit here daily. The entire temple is under the protection of the Indian army. It's a small part of the Allahabaad fort.

A very peaceful place with great historical facts.

Just beside Sangam. Akbar Fort. Akshay Bat is here

A very ancient worship place inside the Fort. Sanatan Yug's Akshay vriksh (Bargad Tree) is still green and healthy to provide you with Moksha as per Sanatan mythology. Patalpuri Mandir underground is beautiful and mind-blowing. One should definitely visit.

We visited the temple and Akshayvat on a Wednesday. Reaching the site was a breeze, infact parking was just outside the fort wall. We walked like everyone inside the fort. The walk is slightly uphill so older people with knee issues might have some problems. One can see the old revered tree upon entrance. However, there is a proper entrance to get in close proximity. On the left side, there is a stall for removing shoes at a minimal amount of ₹10:00. Once you get in line to get 'darshan' of the temple, you will find a description of the historical and religious significance of the holy site all along the path. I suggest you carry plenty of change as the are many 'pandits' sitting and invite you to offer prayers. The whole experience was overwhelming and surreal.
As it was not crowded we got 'darshan' at leisure.
The whole visit was done in an hour and a half. Getting out from the area took longer as the road was taken over by pedestrians.

Hired a boat to reach triveni sangam.Had a prayer pooja and a holy dip.Fed the water birds .Nice experience.

Patalpuri temple is mainly under ground which is situated in allahabad fort from ashoka empire patalpuri temple is also know as akshay vat where the tree roots worship done in this temple.the best time to visit this temple is 14-15 jan makar sankranti & Basant Panchami because at this time you can see saraswati river well which is make prayagraj the city of 3 river sangum

Akshayvat is the banyan tree. it is close to the Sangam. Important thing of this tree is its location ,it is inside the army unit, visitors can see this tree with prior permission .for general public outside Akbar's Fort wall akshay vat Patalpuri temple is situated one can see roots of this tree inside the temple .

Great place of historical value in Indian Culture. Only problem is the pandits constantly asking to pay money at various small temples. Ignore them and just enjoy the place.

Must visit this temple as it's a place where one can spend the peaceful time in devotion to the god.

This temple is spread over very large area in a fort and is considered very auspecias.A peple tree is oldest and is said to be from satyuga.

Every hindu must visit once in a life. The Ancient trees present here are even older then the time of Ramayana 🙏. You will get some extremely interesting stories and knowledge about our Hinduism culture.
