Aritar Lake

An artificial lake amidst the mountains in East Sikkim. A nice place for an overnight halt or a day trip while planning a tour to East Sikkim.

Nice to see the fishes in the lake. Must visit in morning and evening. Very good place for family and friends. The Buddhist monastery is the must see place. The ambience of this monastery will calm your heart and bring an energetic start to your day. The lake view from Mankhim view point is great. It is a great place in night to see full moon.

As I entered the enchanting forest, a symphony of melodic sounds filled the air. The branches of towering trees swayed gently in the breeze, creating a soothing rustling sound, as if nature itself whispered a sweet lullaby. The forest was alive with the harmonious melodies of countless singing birds, transforming it into a magical sanctuary of song. In this forest full of singing birds, time seemed to stand still. It was a sanctuary where nature's choir shared its stories, dreams, and joys with anyone willing to listen. The symphony of their voices transcended language, filling the heart with a sense of wonder and peace.

A beautiful and serene place in the midst of hills. You can walk beside the lake. Boating service is also available. Don't miss the top view of lake from Buddha Amitabha statue.

The lake is quite good for boating.Recommended , if you visit silk route.We got a hotel adjacent to the lake.During night, the lake looks pitch black.

Small and green lake in to of mountain. Nice and scenic view of the lake surrounded with flowers and long trees. Different types of flowers can be seen in the lake. Boating option is also available for the tourist. Some small snack shops is also present near to lake area.

If you are visiting East Sikkim, this place is justifiably must see place. Emerald green water of the lake is the impressive attractions for the tourists. It has quite lakeside charm and relaxed vibe. You can ride a boat, grab a cup of coffee, have some snacks here.

Great location, great view, good experience, appearance nice

Ariter lake is also known as Lampokahri. Surrounded by beautiful lushgreen forest the lakes water is crystal clear. Boating facility in the lake is also available. You can find lots of cat fishs in the lake. Swans are majestically roaming in the lake area. Truely nice tourist spot.

The lake is huge with around 5-6 swans and some ducks. There is boating there which will cost you Rs.200 a boat. There are some wild flowers and some huge praying mantis. You can see a Buddha statue uphill, do make sure you go there. It’s calm and beautiful and I would say the kanchenjunga view from there is the best.

There is a few hotel and some souvenir shops next to the lake. The lake has a minimal entry and car parking charge.

Must place visit at Aritar. It is properly maintained. The whole lake is surrounded by pine trees. You may also do boating there. Charge is Rs. 200 / boat.

In East Sikkim a small tiny village named Aritar, it is famous for a lake. Besides, monasteries and small hill towns can be seen here. The small place covered with hills and dense forest is quite attractive. You can spend a couple of days here.🌲👍🙏

It is such a a beautiful lake. I really like the way the have mainted the lake. It has so many beautiful flowers and people can also do boating. The environment the atmosphere is so good. I can breath the fresh air and you can even smell flowers. All these makes a beautiful lake. It's like a beauty of sikkim.

Really loved it. The lake is very calm and serene. Flanked by green mountains and surrounded by a walking trail. Lake is divided into two parts. The larger part is available for boating. The boating system is Rs 200 per paddle boat and they don't insist on time crunch. You can boat even for an hour or more. The other part contains numerous fish which can be fed by tourists. A nice homestay is just beside the lake. Few shops are beside the lake and you can enjoy a glass of beer or something harder sitting lakeside in a calm ambience .
