GMVN Tourist Rest House

Good rooms and facilities. Car parking, geyser, good food, spacious room at reasonable rates. Honest and helpful staff. Did not charge me for a broken glass even after insisting. They called me to inform that I had forgotten my wallet and due to some reasons it wasn't possible for me to go back and get it. On my request they agreed to courier it back to my place all the way in Kolkata.

Very clean hotel, good room service, clean rooms and toilets. With a calm atmosphere, the attitude of the staff is also very good. This hotel is located at Pipalkothi before Joshimath in Chamoli, about 82 kms from here Badrinath temple. I stayed here for two days with 7 people in the dormitory, which cost Rs 334 per bed with GST.

We booked AC super deluxe room and was spellbound on visiting the room, actually it is a single bedroom with dining and dressing area. Superb experience in the guest house. Kids loved it and enjoyed thoroughly. If you are visiting with family go for it without second thought.

Very nice place. I landed there twice, both times by accident. Due to road closure for landslide. Once stayed a few hrs and had lunch. On the other, stayed for the night. Good food. Very nice behavior of staff. Well-maintained rooms. Nice furniture. Modern toilet. But the most important thing is the location. Green high mountains are visible on all sides. The locality itself is rather small. Falls as a middle of nowhere place between Chamoli and Joshimath. Basic shops are present in the locality.

I don't have any pics of hotel but you can see the location it's five star and rest house is also cool . Uttrakhand tourism approved fixed price. No online reservation. 3 hours far from govinddham.

At some places they are situated little away from roads so some time we have to carry our luggage to the hotel or we have to give some charge Other then this they are nice, neat and clean.
