We had amazing time at katiki waterfall, the road to reach there is very zigzagy and become very stony near the water fall, parking is difficult for four wheeler so if you are not an experienced driver park somewhat far away and you can walk to water fall by walking 700-900 meters. Always bring extra clothes and towel for bathing in water fall. Water is so cold and speedy coming from over the hills, rocks are slippery near fall so use your both hands too climb safely, you will love the view and bathing in waterfall.

Firstly time visited a water fall and the experience was really good, had fun and took a bath as well. Visited on march 1st. One thing is you can’t go there directly, there is an office called Bro-office. They have charged
1200 rs for 4 people to take near by that waterfall as they have a rule that they will not allow our vehicle near. There is another route from araku to Katiki waterfall, plan to come by that way.So you can go directly reach. But both ways you need to walk to waterfall as its top of hill. Maintain some water and cash, while returning it help you to have something.

Katiki Waterfalls is a beautiful waterfall located in the Araku Valley of Andhra Pradesh. The falls are surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of the water cascading down the rocks is truly a sight to behold.

The best way to reach the falls is by jeep. The jeep ride is a bit bumpy but it is worth it to see the beautiful scenery along the way. Once you reach the falls, you will have to hike for about 10 minutes to reach the viewing point. The hike is not too strenuous but it is important to be careful as the path can be slippery.

The tribal people who live in the area are very helpful and friendly. They are happy to answer any questions you have about the area and they can also help you with your hike. I envy them for living close to nature and I hope that they are able to continue to live in harmony with the environment.

I would not recommend climbing to the waterfalls for people with knee or leg problems or for people who have breathing problems. The climb is quite steep and it can be difficult for people with mobility issues. There are also snakes in the area so it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to wear shoes that provide good traction.

Overall, Katiki Waterfalls is a beautiful place to visit. The falls are stunning and the tribal people are friendly and helpful. However, it is important to be aware of the challenges of the hike and to take precautions to stay safe.

Here are some tips for visiting Katiki Waterfalls:

Wear comfortable shoes with good traction.
Bring water and snacks.
Be aware of your surroundings and be on the lookout for snakes.
If you have any mobility issues, you may want to consider hiring a guide.
Be respectful of the tribal people and their culture.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Katiki Waterfalls!

Firstly they don’t allow any private 4 wheeler vehicles to reach the trek point . We need to park our vehicle at the parking lot , pay per person and take bill form them . They will arrange a jeep and leave you near the trek place .

From the place they leave you , there will be a 35-50 min walk where you will come across a railway track followed by a moderate trek route .

Waterfall place is a bit small but we can enjoy a lot there . Water that falls from above is so pure .

U need to trek a lot to reach this place n after 30min of journey u will njoy the view n experience will be great but its dangerous to walk or step on rocks as they are slippery n tourism department should improve the safety standards here as many people are slipping over the rocks, if u r elderly person or going with kids u need to be extra cautious , many monkeys are also there so beware .

Visited Katiki on 29 Jul 23
A tip to all the travellers: If you want to go for trekking, go via Borra.
If you don't want trekking and land at the foot of the waterfalls from where the trek will be approx 10min, set GPS to katiki water falls in maps. If u want for trekking, it would be Katiki water fall base parking.
Advice to teams with kids and parents, pls go to falls directly.
950m of the road wasn't laid yet. If u want to go by car till the foot of the falls, Ride would be bumpy. But if u r a good driver, u can easily manage. No sedans and hatchbacks pls. U may end up paying a lot for service.
Really enjoyed the falls...
Must visit for anyone who visit aruku.
Don't depend on Bathrooms for changing. No use...Smelly and no maintenance.
Plan to reach there by 07-07.30am. It will be very peaceful and u may get chance to be alone at the falls.

One of the best place to visit in Vizag. 👍👍👍

Katiki Waterfalls is one of the best places to plan a day out with your family and friends. They also make for great weekend plans if you want to escape the week long stress into the forest, camping under a starry night and munching on Bamboo Chicken as you hear the rush of water from the falls nearby.

Katiki waterfalls is located at the address Katiki Waterfalls Rd, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, 531149, India. There are a few modes of transport that are quite comfortable to reach the waterfalls.

One of the best waterfalls!! Recommended to go with family / friends. Had the best trekking experience over here. Food is also available. The Rocks were not so slippery, so playing with water is less riskier. Don't skip this beautiful place.
