Balpakram is the most beautiful and eyes catching views are mesmerizing. The most interesting part is the mythodology of the Garo culture , where we still see the signs of the demigod.

Balpakram Forest, Meghalaya,
Located in the southern part of Meghalaya, the Balpakram National Park is home to the local Garo tribe. As per the legends, this is the spot from where the souls of the departed go to rest. With an abundance of lush greenery and wildlife, this spot is a paradise for nature and photography lovers. Yet, due to coal mines and water dams, the forest area is receding almost everyday, which will likely threaten the existence of all animals in the region in the near future.
