This place is one of the most decent places in this area. The ambience is quite nice and soothing and the staffs are very cooperative and helpfull. And the food is awesome. Its very tasty and rich in flavours also in a reasonable price range. Portion size is also good. And also it has a menu full of varieties. In my suggestion they should change the decoration though cause the interior is very pretty but the decoration is not suitable with the interior.

A hidden gem. Me and my husband ❣ food and we like visiting different restaurants wherever we are. Rarely do we visit the same place again. Shalimar restaurant is one of the extremely few restaurants where we visited for the first time but have decided to come back again and again.
What's good? EVERYTHING!. The food is delicious, there is a huge variety and value for money. The ambience is awesome and they have a fantastic playlist (music plays continuously in the restaurant). The staff behaviour is also good.

My second visit here and the experience has changed. Wasn't quite satisfied with the service a year ago but things have changed now. The staff is very responsive, polite and cheerful! The food was good, to be specific the tandoori chicken was great!

Food quality is very good.. with good ambience and music.you can try special chicken Biryani, murkh malai kebab,garlic nun,Butter nun, chicken Butter masala Lahori chicken and non alcoholic beer..

Undergone a major renovation which brings about an ambience that will surely suit a family's pleasure. Separate place is also there for couples. Staffs are friendly and dishes are marvelous

🔺 Well decorated ambience with a vintage style interior gives a comfortable vibes.
🔺 Staffs are very cooperative & well mannered.
🔺 Apart from the main floor there are nice little cabins to spend time with your loved one in less noise. There are no extra charges for that. Normal dishes price are applicable.
🔺 In our first visit, didn't find any issues in food quality and quantity. We've ordered Naan, Tandoori roti,Butter chicken masala alongwith a cold drink.

🔻 Washroom maintanence could've been better , but it's okay. Overall you can neglect this fact.

⚫ Location: Take an auto / toto from Chandrangar station to Court more. Otherwise you can take an auto / toto directly for Chandrangar Stand. It's just a few steps before the Chandranagar stand.

Starters Items like Kung Pao Chicken, & other tikka items are too good.

This place has been renovated recently, food is good! Mainly the chinese items are the best! But the best thing about the place is their hospitality(best in town). Staff behaviour is very good and polite!

Great ambience created with pictures and lines from Sukumar Roy's Abol Tabol. Chicken dishes were tasty! There are provisions for drinks, veg dishes, proper sanitization etc. Attached male and female toilet available. Cost reasonable, 500-600 for two people. Waiters were also well behaved, and helpful. Good for family, friends or date!

Shalimar Hotel and Restaurant is one of the oldest and best restaurant of Chandannagar. It's situated in a prime location. The dine in area is neat and clean and what is more impressive is the portraits on the wall with sketches and excerpt from Abol-Tabol of Sukumar Roy.
It caters a wide variety of foods like indian Chinese continental etc.
Rate is ok and taste is superb.
Wish to visit again.
