Such a beautiful place to do trekking and a picnic. Can spend a full day, peaceful place.

Luckily I visited this place right after a lot of rains. Dam was well built with proper sight seeing points...

Another good point is that there is no residential area opp to the dam which offers good water flow without any restriction.

A pieceful location,nice views. Worth for a week end bike ride or cycling ride. No shops, no hotels just enjoy the nature, wind, birds sounds. Suitable time to visit sun rise to sun set.

Man made fresh water lake near Thiruvallur. A good place for picnic with family and friends. Due to less rains in Tamilnadu it's not filled to the capacity. It's a beautiful place surrounded by jungles. One can spend some time here for meditation.

Located in tiruvallur one of the main water reservoir from which chennai receives water almost 80 yrs old reservoir built before independence.Must visit during end of rainy season to enjoy the scenic view.Dont buy anything near the vicinity.Able to see plastic rubbish near by and in water. park near by in disuse could have been better maintained by PWD department who are in-charge of the dam.
