It's energy lifeline for entire UP and it contributes handsome tax to the central government to the tune of Rs.20000/- Crore annually. It has a work force of approximately 1300 and they hace huge products range starting from MS/ HSD/ ATF/NAPTHA and other products. It's source of income for hundreds of MSME sector units established around it. .....

Well and memorable. Every thing is so good. And almost all facilities are available in iocl township such as school, stadium,parks and shoping centre. Township is so environment friendly and so spacious with safety and security. I mostly like it's playground buy there is one missing i.e. basketball court around stadium or in stadium. KV have all sports as usual. After all my experience in township is awesome. It is a cool place for living with all facilities. No rush anywhere.

The Mathura Refinery, owned by Indian Oil Corporation, is the sixth refinery of IndianOil located in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

The refinery processes low sulphur crude from Bombay High, imported low sulphur crude from Nigeria, and high sulphur crude from the Middle East.

The refinery, which cost Rs.253.92 crores to build, was commissioned on 19 January.

Construction began on the refinery in October 1972. The foundation stone was laid by Indira Gandhi, the former prime minister of India. The FCCU and Sulphur Recovery Units were commissioned in January, 1983. The refinery was commissioned with a refining capacity of 6.0 MMTPA and The refining capacity of this refinery was expanded to 7.5 MMTPA in 1989 by debottlenecking and revamping. A DHDS Unit was commissioned in 1989 for production of HSD with low sulphur content of 0.25% wt. ( max.). The present refining capacity of this refinery is 8.00 MMTPA.
