This place is so beautiful it makes you want to cry. The steep lush green hills around you is the most amazing view there. Of course not dismissing the very old rontong hill station which is a piece of history still upright with utmost pride. The serene beauty consists of everything around the place, be it Daju Ka Dukan’s hospitality, the hills, the rail tracks, the occasional mini waterfalls or the century old rongtong station. Rongtong is one of the beautiful place in North Bengal. Most attraction of this place is birds, various birds you can find out easily. Toy train which is the pride of north bengal passing through this place. The station is very nice. Near the station you can try to taste of hills. There are many road side food stalls. Momos with soup is mouthwatering. If you have plan for a daytrip must be go there. In every season of the year Rongtong bloomed with it's beauty.

One of the oldest stations . Almost hidden behind the trees. Nice place to walk around and have tea and snacks.

Place with natural beauty.I visited here few days ago. Really a peaceful place.I stayed here few minutes and captured so many images.I wanna visit here again.

It's a very surreal, calming and a very significant destination of the heritage toy train journey starting from Siliguri. The place is enriched with fauna of the Himalayan Forests all around. The railway station, established in 1879-81, provides an overall amalgamation of the heritage and natural flora, unique to North Bengal.

Beautiful and cute toy train station in Darjeeling district, India. If you take the hill cart road for journey towards Darjeeling from Siliguri, you will find the station.

Rongtong situated in the district of Darjeeling in West Bengal, Rongtong, which loosely translates to ‘colours and beyond’, is a hamlet that truly lives up to its name. With tiny village homes on lush rolling hills, blanketed by clouds and shrouded in mist, Rongtong is something straight out of an English classic. Parts of Rongtong fall within the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, under the Darjeeling Wildlife Division. With over 300 species of birds (and around 40 species of mammals), the sanctuary is an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA).

On way to Kurseong and it's World Heritage site. Very serene and surreal place to visit. Just have a bowl of local food just opposite to the railway station and enjoy the beauty! 🤍🌿
